Good but the wrapper is made out of paper
I recently made a purchase of this silica gel bag, filled with a substantial 1000 pieces. Generally speaking, the performance of these packs was good. Each packet measured between 900 milligrams to 1400 milligrams, a sizeable amount.Pros:1. Size Flexibility: One of the standout features of these silica gel packs is their size. They offer a more manageable alternative to larger 2-gram or 5-gram packs. The flexibility of these smaller packets allows you to distribute them as required, providing notable convenience.2. Effective Moisture Adsorption: Surprisingly, the fragility of the paper bags is a strength in disguise. Their high water permeability allows for a powerful drying effect, giving these silica gel packets an impressive capacity for moisture adsorption.3. Eco-Friendly Choice: The use of paper bags makes these silica gel packs a friendlier choice for the environment compared to non-biodegradable options like Tyvek, polyester, or non-woven fabric bags. However, if you're buying in bulk, the disposal considerations are worth bearing in mind.Cons:1. Pricing: At a cost of Rs. 449, these silica gel packs come at a somewhat steep price. While the product performs well, the price may be a point of consideration for some.2. Fragility: A drawback of the paper bags is their potential for tearing. Here, cotton bags may have the upper hand. Upon arrival, I found that a few packets were already torn, which was less than ideal.3. Quality Control: There appear to be some issues with the cutting of the silica gel packets. A few were not properly cut, requiring me to trim them manually, an inconvenient task.In conclusion, despite a few issues, these silica gel packs effectively fulfilled their purpose. They offer an excellent solution for moisture control, presented in conveniently small sizes. However, potential buyers should consider the fragility of the product and the slightly higher cost.
