Great full size corn straw broom
Wonderful corn straw broom. It is full size. Sweeps wonderfully with the bristles catching every peice of peice of dirt! I was a bit worried when the package came as it was so small. Upon opening it i saw a full size large broom head and 4 metal screw together poles my heart sunk. I pulled the screw together poles out of the box and WOW these are thick sturdy poles and I love the foam for where I put my hand while sweeping. This is my mothers broom with a big upgrade! I love it.

Well made with extra stiff bristles.
I was looking for a larger and thicker corn broom like one I have had for 20 years and which has served me well. Sadly, my big one was borrowed by some friends who broke the handle while cleaning at a construction site trying to sweep large piles of old roofing shingles. I fixed it with JB Weld and fiber tape wrap, but I wanted a new one that didn't look patched up. This Yocada broom is smaller than my old one but bigger that what I find in local stores. There was another one I found on Amazon that looked more like what I wanted, but they were charging close to $100 (three times as much as the Yocada). While I appreciate hand-made effort and skill, it's still just corn fiber, a stick and some string. So I settled for this one. This broom is smaller than what I wanted, but is as described and as advertised. I prefer a thick wooden handle, but this one is metal, comes in three sections which easily screw together. We will see how that holds up against rust, and how long the foam pad on the grip lasts. I hope a long time, but I doubt it will outlast my old broom. Time will tell. This corn broom part is well sewn with seven (yes, seven!) lines. The cord is a bright neon green and yellow (for real?!) I guess that's for flight tracking in case somebody gets any witchy ideas. The sewing lines start at 6 1/2 inches from the bottom. The corn fiber bristles are also very stiff. This means there is very little to no "give" to them. For coarser dirt and debris it works well. For trying to sweep finer dust and dry silt, it takes several sweeps to get it to move. So there are advantages and disadvantages. I still feel this is better than anything I saw at our local stores (Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, etc.), but it's performance is more for coarser dirt, leaves, and debris.

Corn Brooms just work better than plastic ones
They last a good long time though wear and tear will degrade them aThis Yocada seems well made with more stitching than some others at a good price point

Crappiest Durability
I bought this broom in August of this year. It is now December and I need a replacement. Starting at cost. The grocery store around the corner sells straw brooms for $8-$10. I got this one because it looked sturdier and was bigger which it feels that way. Not too heavy. The straw was extremely stiff when I received it and did not loosen up but instead it cracked off and breaks frequently. The sweepability is strong but the too-stiff bristles breaking off adds work to the job. The head requires frequent re-tightening to the handle. Not difficult to use, but a disappointing purchase.

Comes unscrewed
It comes unscrewed during use and has to be repeatedly tightened. The plastic screw threads are going to wear out before the broom does which is unfortunate as it is a very good broom.

Works like a charm.
I was skeptical since I prefer a wooden handled broom but this one is great. Nice weight with out being too heavy and the handle can be removed if need be. I would buy again.

An old-fashioned broom to get a good cleaning!
This is the type of corn broom that I remember as a child!, the 'Halloween-witch' type of broom! It arrives in a surprisingly smaller type of box but all you have to do is screw in the yellow grip foam part in the middle, and then the other part with the round yellow tip for the top...and that's it, you have yourself a sturdy, full-size broom! It doesn't come with instructions but is pretty easy to figure out. You may find that some bristles are longer than others but all you have to do is trim them with scissors to make it uniform in bristle size. There may also be bits of little stray bristles after sweeping but that is normal for this type of broom. It is really a good broom and it cleans well, especially to clean the dust out of rugs and perhaps even carpeting. No complaints here!!
