GWF8 Water Filtration System For Top-load Water Dispensers , White

I bought this to use on Haier WDNS32BW Water Dispenser with Power Indicator Lights that I purchased elsewhere, but you can read my review of it here on Amazon. The system fits my model just fine. It wasn't necessary to remove the flotation device at the bottom of the filtration system - which is something the assembly instructions say you may need to do, depending on your dispenser. It's filtering perfectly. Water is crystal clear, and it tastes pure and clean. No leaks anywhere, inside or out. By golly, I like it. A lot! I haven't measured the exact capacity, but I think the lower chamber will hold between six and seven liters of water. I live alone, and mine needs refilling about every three days. I use the dispenser several times a day for drinking water and hot tea, and sometimes kimchi or hot cereal. Assembling the parts is a bit of a trick because the two tank pieces come nested together with plastic film between them. I had to soak the whole thing in soapy water before the top and bottom pieces would slip apart. Once it was assembled, I had the filtration system working in no time. The quality of the product is really very good, and so is the quality of the water it filters. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a simple, inexpensive alternative to bottled water delivery.

This is pretty big and good size it fit perfectly just with a little shake to it it smells like new plastic products and it’s really durable for being so cheap the water tastes fine and good and the filtration system is amazing on it I love this product!!

Bought this to help with our drinking water. The town we live in doesn't have the best tasting water and this makes life easier. Easy to fill, kid friendly, and fits with just about any base you can find. The water tastes better than what we we have and was super simple to put together. My autistic children love filling it up and watching the water filter out.

Item arrived sooner than expected. Read most of the reviews, so was expecting to have a difficult time separating the two chambers. Well, I share some advice to all that purchase this item...put it under the faucet, allow the water to seep into the sides of the chambers, at the same time pulling on the plastic. Mines popped out in under a minute. So, as of right now, I have not been able to use the filter. After opening the package and going through all the parts, the photos in the manual did not match what I had. After contacting the manufacturer, they sent me pictures of what it is supposed to look like, and sure enough, missing was the silicone float. Seems a normal thing with this item, and I made it known to them. I sent them my purchase receipt for verification, and now have to wait 10-14 days for the replacement float seal. Would give it more stars, considering the product was a warehouse deal with damaged packaging, but item was perfect, accept for the missing piece. Unfortunately, minus one star for missing piece, minus one star for having to wait 10-14 days for a replacement part on an unused item, and minus one star for the fact that I cannot use it yet. And just a warning to all future buyers...make sure you have the silicone float seal in your parts set, or IT WILL LEAK. EDIT: 4/26/17 Manufacturer sent a complete assembly with the silicone float installed on the tip. Kudo's to Grennway and their customer service. So, after receiving the silicone float, my next quest was to find a compatible water dispenser. Well, I ended up buying a Primo cold/Hot water dispenser from Lowes. Now, this dispenser is not really a good fit for the Greenway system, since the leak proof ring is unable to be removed. However, I was able to get the filter system mounted onto the dispenser using some self ingenuity and a large rubber o-ring around the base. 2 weeks of use so far, and only issue I had was user error...filled it up to much, and bottom chamber couldn't take all the water I put in, so it seeped out onto my floor overnight. Won't do that again! Overall, I am happy with the filter system, it does what is is supposed to do, and I am saving $$$ by not having to buy bottled water! Besides, Hawaii has excellent drinking water right out of the tap, and I already pay for my water bill. It just makes sense. My initial review was a 2 star rating, but I am adding back one star for the customer service i received from Greenway, and one more star for the effectiveness of the product. If you want to save money on water, this is a great way to go!

I love this. It is economical and very green. No more expensive bottled water delivery——never run low! Easy to clean and change the filter.

Fun fact, it says it fits most top load dispensers. It doesn't, though. So it's off to a great start. If it doesn't fit, the official guide says to remove the support collar but that means it sits awkwardly and could tip at a moment's notice. On top of that, it means that dust can get in, or any errant particles. So it renders owning this filter entirely pointless, unless you like cleaning your floors from water damage and drinking dust-water.

Upon opening the box you get the lower, upper and lid portion of the filter system. In addition it DOES come with the filter assembly. When I first began looking at this item it did not specify if it came with one or not. After letting the filter soak for 30 minutes and running water through it after the thing takes less than five minutes to set up. Very user friendly and easy to install. No tools are required to assemble. The only downside I can make note of is the O-ring around the top portion of the filter that connects to the upper water storage area. It can take quite a bit of effort to get that O-ring to seat into its spot just right so as not to allow it to slip out while installing, which would allow unpurified water to leak into the lower tank. But that is not hard at all to overcome. As far as the quality and taste. Compared to the regular tap the taste is 10 times better. Its hard to explain in words the absence of taste but it is not a bad thing at all. At this point the Dispenser has been in use in our home for a week and everyone loves the taste and ease of use. As for the cost. it was around $53 for the dispenser including delivery. We have been spending more than that on 5 gallon bottles each month so in one months use this product will pay for itself. you do have to purchase new filters about every 4-6 months and they range about $25 each but you can quickly recover the cost by not buying bottles in the future. I love this product! I wanted a water cooler for along time but didn't want to deal with water delivery service or carrying/lifting heavy bottles, this seemed like a great solution. Like another reviewer I had a hard time separating the top half from the bottom half when it came out of the packaging - they were "suctioned" together and I needed help to get them apart. You need to soak the new filter for a half an hour: charcoal colored bits came out of it and I was concerned that it would get into the water but after the half hour soak and rinse all was clear. Our water tastes great with no chlorine/chemical odor. Filling the top every couple of days is easier to me than arranging for bottles to be delivered or remembering to put out the empties and have to lug in those heavy bottles. And with back problems there's no way would I be able to lift the bottle to put it on top of the cooler, so this is the perfect answer. I purchased it along with an Avanti hot/cold water dispenser unit Avanti WDP75 Hot and Cold Water Dispenser which unfortunately is defective (and the company has terrible customer service) so I've ordered a Clover cooler and hoping for better luck (and returning the Avanti.) The Greenway Water Dispenser Filtration System is a very smart idea, great design, and works well. And bonus, it is attractive and looks better on top of the cooler in my kitchen than the delivery bottles would.
