As I add more weight to my squat and deadlift, my gym shoes aren't cutting it.They wiggle around and squish under my feet, and I've been experiencing pain and numbness.So I got a pair of these. Stylish and comfortable, with a rigid sole. Some lift, not a lot, it feels balanced.Then I get under a bar and go to squat.The feeling is like night and day. My feet just... stay put. It's easier to break parallel, walk it off and onto the rack.If you lift heavy, get yourself some shoes for it. These are great.

This shoe is an excellent all round cross trainer. Good for weightlifting, light cardio (warm ups, cool downs) and everyday use. However, like all cross trainers, there are some trade offs. Heel is not as stiff as a dedicated weightlifting shoe, so you should buy the other model if your goal is maximal squats and deadlifts. Also, heel is too stiff for running / jogging for longer periods of time, so you should get a running shoe for that purpose. For the generalist, however, it is probably the perfect shoe.

These are great. Perfect support for squats, light cardio was fine too. Highly recommend. Material seems solid, not imperfections I could spot. I think the black from the box rubbed off on the toe while shipping. Wiped off easily.
