Rubbermaid food container
I love it It's durable and holds all my fruits I just use it in my refrigerator so that I don't have to have bags of fruit that roll all over the place. Also the drawers of my refrigerator are small so this makes up for it. I'm going to purchase a second one for yogurt and stuff

Great size for sous vide with large family
I've been put off by the pricey sous vide machines out there when they are really simple construction. So I decided to make one myself after seeing a local high end restaurant use something similar. This box is a very sturdy polycarbonate - heavy and nice-n-thick. I can see this lasting for years and years even if dropped. I ordered the lid which was separate.Although the description says it's a 3.5 gal and the dimensions, it didn't register to me how big this box was. Luckily I didn't order the larger one of these because this easily fit 2 large corned beef packages and left room for all of the other stuff. I also was able to put in 10lbs of porterhouse steaks at 140 degrees for a couple of hours and they came out wonderful (after a quick searing on the frying pan). The plastic can handle boiling water as I put it in a couple of times and let it cool to the desired sous vide temperature.I bought a temperature controller off of the "bay" site for $60, a cheap coffee mug heater for $10 and a food grade circulation pump. With a dremel tool, I cut a notch on the top lid so that the heater go go in the hole and hang suspended off of the plastic. I also put a piece of ceramic below just in case the heater would accidentally drop to the bottom and potentially melt a hole (though I doubt it can do that with water all around). The pump would circulate the water around the tank all the time. Because of the size of this, it takes a considerable amount of time to heat up that much water/meat if everything was cold Best to put hot tap water first and heat from there.I highly recommend this box as it fits the bill when doing sous vide.

Sous Vide container!!
Bought this as a Sous Vide vessel for my Anova One.. It's very sturdy construction, and being plastic it won't disperse as much heat as a metal pot, causing the Anova One to have to work less (less energy, less wear and tear...that's a good thing!!!).I knew ahead of time the Anova clamp would have an issue over the lip of this container. However, it took me 5 minutes with a dremel tool to fix that. I shaved off 1/4 from both handle areas, and it would definitely effect how the container would be carried if full. I will likely use this to cure pork butts prior to smoking, but I don't think the handles being shaved with a dremel will cause an issue (i.e. i will likely bear hug it out of the fridge rather than lift with the handles, even if unshaved).Definitely going to be useful for doing racks of ribs, large amounts of chicken wings, etc. Won't be a great vessel for cooking one bag of food, will likely stick to a metal pot for now. There are lids available for this, however I purchased 144 practice ping pong balls to use as a lid for about 7 dollars. This will cover up the large surface area, vapor will condense on the balls and drop back into the water, reducing vaporation (vaporation reduces heat, which makes the unit work harder.)The Anova and the above mentioned ping pong balls will be stored inside the container when not in use. Overall, as a sous vide home cook, this is one of my smarter buys for larger cuts of meat.

Great buy.
We use these containers to proof large amounts of pizza dough and to marinate large portions of meat most of the time. As long as you have ample storage space for this item, this is a great product to have in the kitchen for prep and storage. It's super easy to clean either by hand in the sink or in the dishwasher. The lids must be purchased separately which is a drag but oh well. The combination of the two is ideal and it's what I recommend people purchase for their satisfaction.

Not Clear and came damaged, Loose lids.
Not what I had hoped for. These are not clear. I was looking for some rugged containers for quarantining fish using the tank Transfer method. This seemed like a good option as they are supposed to be clear and rugged. They are not clear as the edges had texture and only left about a clear 12 inch section in the middle. Next the packaging they came in had no padding or protection and a couple feet to slide around. Came with scuff marks and considering it purpose this left it less then perfect for the high dollar price demanded. The lids are okay but not great as they just sit on top and had to be purchased separately. I sent these back.In the end I decided to go with- Cambro 182615CW135 Clear Camwear Clear Polycarbonate Food Storage Box 26" x 18" x 15"- Cambro 1826SCCW135 Clear Camwear Sliding Lid for Food Storage Box 26" x 18"A little cheaper, rugged and clear and has the option to buy a sliding lid. Perfect for my use.

Great item - NEEDS DIMENSION CLARIFICATION
Interior dimensions will be about 2" shorter - please list interior dimensions in listings !!! Now I have a huge tray I really don't have a use for at this time and it's not worth the hassle to return. I needed a tray with minimum interior dimensions of 13" X 25". The width of this tray will work but the length is barely 24". The listed dimensions should have given ample room but the tapered sides and huge rim all around took up valuable interior area.Update - 1-18-21........Found a use for it ! Makes a nice succulent planter on top of my washer in my little nautical bathroom - lol. Looks really nice too ! Added some of my shells and gemstone rocks. A sheet of bubble wrap under the tray absorbs washer vibrations. Just water very lightly as needed if you do similar - no drainage so be careful with that.

Off label use
I have an old cat, who pees outside her litter box. I've been scouring for a way to manage this and have tried so many things. This so far is the best. It serves as a tray to sit under the litter box that I can layer extra litter to catch the overflow. The size is perfect and it is sturdy and can be easily wiped down. It was difficult to find a tray that was deep enough to make a difference. In case anyone else has this issue, give this a go.
