Much cheaper on Amazon.com! Stores are WAY overpriced!
Bought this to go in my '12 Frontier. Had it installed with the Viper 5806v. It was $70 cheaper on Amazon.com! Works great. Installers had no issues with it!

Remote start immobilizer and more.
DBALL 3 is one of the latest immobilizers from DEI. If you've ever used DBALL 2 or the DBALL you will see it's basically the same harness just the shape of the box has squared up a bit. Used when adding remote start to a vehicle that has a chipped key. Also provides vehicle data to the aftermarket alarm so you don't have to run as many cables like hood pin - trunk pin - door status - tachometer - parking lights etc...It does so via the D2D cable. Can allow control over OEM alarm as well. All depends on vehicle. To know what works it's best to visit the directechs.com site.

No instructions or support
There are 26 individual wires to connect with absolutely no instructions. Ease of installation my backside. Customer service won't even talk to you unless you're one of their people. BAD, BAD, BAD!

Works great!
Worked perfectly for me - installed on 2016 Tacoma to add remote start capabilities to OEM key fob. Programming and installation took a few hours, but well worth it for the price!

Needs to be programmed
What the listing here and Directeds website fail to mention is that this module must be programmed for the specific vehicle its going in. This seller not only does not provide that but also does not provide any installation information for the device. Directed dealers should all have access to the Directechs site that provides free downloads of installation guides and software/firmware for their devices. This seller does not provide either. If you buy one, be prepared to have a local radio shop program it and provide installation info for a few bucks.
