I have really long hair and I use about a half-dollar sized amount of the shampoo. Don't use it mostly on your scalp, I usually bend my head over and dig it really good into my hair. After a minute or 2, I rinse it out. Then I use about the same amount of conditioner and use it the same way as the shampoo. After a couple of minutes, I rinse out the conditioner. I don't like leaving my hair in a "stripped" condition so I always follow this up with a quick shampoo and condition with my regular Redken combo for curly hair, let it air-dry and my hair is always nice, clean and soft. Is this a shampoo/conditioner combo that I would use on my hair EVERY day? No. This combo is to clarify aka "strip" all the yuckiness out that we put in there nonstop. As far as how often to use this would depend on how much daily junk you put in your hair. However, after 3 weeks of use, my hair feels more fresh and less greasy. My hair stays fresh for 2 days including the day I shampoo my hair. No irritation anymore. However there might be a better alternative in the market that helps with the greasy hair.
