It's a great size though that is the only thing I like about this item. The pedestal combined with the lid makes it really hard to get the lid on. I fumbled with it for a good 5 minutes, scared that I was going to harm our pets or break it while getting the lid on. The door on top is a great size IF it wasn't equally hard to close. I would not recommend this item.

I bought two of these. With the first, while it was a little difficult to get the lid on, it could be done. The door on the lid was very hard to open and harder to close. The second tank, the lid doesn’t fit at all, it’s just too small. Swapping the lids doesn’t help. The quality just isn’t there with these, even if the design is nice.

The lid won’t go on it is too small and this one has a one inch crack in the top side of the bottom piece, and this is the replacement I got because the first one was busted all up just don’t buy these keepers they are junk.

my newts loved it.i had no problems with the lid like all the other reviews.I got it for my two newts and it works great perfect size alot larger then i thought which was awesome for the price and it came super quick!very happy with my purchase

This product is horrible. The first one came broken, the second ones lid doesn’t fit. It’s perfect for what I need it for. I’m going to have to go to a pet store and actually buy one to make sure the lid fits.

The product was almost perfect! But the kid wouldn’t secure into the top. It pops out and won’t close. We used this for our Venus fly trap so we just turned the upside down and allowed it to lay in the top so that worked for us. However, if you are dead set with having a lid this might not be the product for you. Hopefully it was just a one off!

I got a blue base with a pink top and the top didn't fit. I tried to snap it on and it's just slightly too small.
