Yes, there is. I simply bought a charger from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BFWHD7G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This is one of the best chargers I have ever used. It charges the 18650 batteries that are loaded in the headlamp. Remove the batteries from the headlamp and place them in the charger, minding the polarity, and in a few hours, they'll have a full charge on them good for quite a number of hours of light. Personally, I only recharge the 18650's after 4 or more hours of solid use in the headlamp on low power.

Is the headlamp waterproof? Does it truly withstand going underwater?

For the price, you can’t go wrong. I have purchased a few of these in the past few years for co workers. I bought them for overnight Highway construction work. All kinds of weather. After a long time of repetitive use, they don’t last forever but to answer the question, yes they are water resistant. Don’t drop them in a pool as they are not “waterPROOF” but water resistant

How many hours does the battery last?

Battery lasts me a couple of weeks but I just use it at night to feed and water my chickens. I really like that it is rechargeable.

can I use AA batteries?

No, this only takes the 18650 batteries, which are 3.7VDC nominally. They're expensive, however, the headlamp comes with quality Lithium Ion rechargeables. There is no need to buy new ones for a very long time.
