We also live in an older home with the original windows so it’s difficult to keep the room cool during the day. We bought these and the room is much cooler and not so ridiculously bright, perfect for taking a daytime nap! If we shut the curtains the room is completely dark, I love it. Installation wasn’t hard, you just need a yardstick or something to measure and draw a straight line to cut or you can use an exacto knife. Spray lots of water on the window and it sticks right on, air bubbles scrape out easily with credit card. I definitely recommend!
