No only if your soaking it off with nail polish remover

Q: if I buy this kit what else do I need to buy to be able to use it? Apart from ur/led lamp?

Nothing. It comes with everything you need besides the lamp. May need some different dual forms, I found them to be catered for small hands only and had to use a mix of forms and dualforms✋️

Q: Can I put gel polish on top of this and if so would I need to buff and base coat again ontop of the poly gel?

Yes you can put gel polish on top. And I find that it helps to prepare the gel like a nail before painting, buff it up but no I dont apply another base coat. I just buff to help the gel attach to the nail better which gives a longer lasting finish. You can apply polish straight away, but you're more likely to get peeling so doing prep reduces those chances.
