Pistachio Nigella Halva - 8 oz | Certified USDA Organic, Gluten Free, Kosher & Vegan

Absolutely the most delicious vegan Halva I've ever tasted! I discovered halva at our local health food store when I was a teenager, back in the 60's and was instantly smitten by the taste and texture. I've ordered this Pistachio Halva several times now and it's my favorite though the other flavors are deeelicious too! All good organic vegan ingredients which is extra important for those of us 77 or older!

8 oz is more than you think. Enough for 10 people as a desert taste. Because it's so sweet it's not something you'd want to gorge on anyway. We all enjoyed it to the point of its disappearing from the plate, cut up into bite sized pieces.

The plastic tub was broken so I will not eat it. Thanks I do love this item.

I love halvah but this one has a very strong and somewhat unpleasant sesame oil taste, and the nigella seeds add an off-putting flavor note.

So in cold weather it is compact and in heat it kind of melts but in a good way. I like this a lot and spread it on top of my rice cakes. It’s healthy but tastes like a dessert. It’s like a sweet salty flavor. It isn’t too sweet or too salty it’s just the right amount of both. To be honest when I first tried it in the winter I didn’t really like it I was giving it away but then I gave it a chance again and took smaller pieces and instead of biting into it I kinda just let it melt in my mouth and I told my family member to do the same since she didn’t like it when she tried it first but I think the trick is to allow it to melt in your mouth. Now we both agree it’s really good when you allow it to melt in your mouth if you are going to eat it straight out the container but if you have plain snacks like plain rice cakes (similar to rice krispy but no sugar) you can add this to the top and get a good healthy treat

Boggles my mind that none of the 1 star reviews had an opinion about the packaging. Cut the hell out of my fingers with their plastic locking system and after finally getting the lid off when I put it back on it remained a fiasco to get if off again. Will put it in a zip lock baggie for storing.. You couldn't design this sealed container to be more difficult...ABSURD!!! Product taste and texture were unlike others to be fine.

Taste and texture is so unique and the California made product excels when compared to all other halvah brands. It’s not too dry. There is no peculiar aftertaste. It comes in many flavors all of which are fantastic. Everyone loves it, even people new to halvah. It really tastes homemade. Five stars.
