The pencils are very expensive and they're almost unusable when they get sharpened down to about 2.5 inches. Thankfully, I have kept all these "nubs" because I can't bear to throw them out!However, this extender is just ok. It's a bit too heavy and it claims to have a snug fit, but I can't get it to slide all the way in and I find it moves around a bit. It's also a shame that it eliminates the eraser.It's a pretty good solution but imagining how much Blackwing must put into their R&D and the endless requests for an extender, I think they might need to go back to the drawing board. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Unusually poor design. The tip wiggles and is loose on the metal shaft. This translates to its intended use, and the pencil feels like it is hinged in the middle.
