The Japanese version works on my North American Nintendo Switch. No issues. If you want to use this with Zelda: BOTW in the US, it will work fine. I don't actually play the game nor use the amiibo, but according to the internet, for BOTW, it drops very rare materials and weapons. Apparently, it (like other amiibos) can be used in other Nintendo games as well. It's big, but definitely looks pretty cool.

My grandson is into the Zelda games and this is an Amibo for the Botw Zelda game. He's only 8, so I was surprised he knew what these are, as I'd never heard of them! Anyway, I bought it for one of his Christmas gifts and it is his new favorite thing! It drops gifts into the game every day when you place it to the scanner on the game system, he tells me, and also, it is very detailed, nicely made. It is well-painted and the arms all can be moved and posed. My grandson loves the Guardians in this game, so he was super-excited by this. Worth the money for his joy!

Perfect for Zelda good for scaring my sibling who plays Zelda

I originally wanted to buy this Amibo simply because I thought it was cool and adorable. I got a lot more than I was expecting. The Amibo is amazing. The details are just like in the game. The legs are fully adjustable, but they are a bit stiff. I would exercise caution when trying to move them. The Amibo is even a little sturdy and scratch resistant too (took a happy accident to discover that). The packaging was all completely in tact. However, if you want to preserve it for whatever reason, you're out of luck. It took me an hour to figure out how to free Mr. Robot without ruining it or the packaging, but alas, you must damage the packaging. Turns out, I ended up getting the Japanese Amibo, to my surprise. Rest assured, the Amibo is completely functional (see video); you'll get some neat goodies when you use it! So why am I rating four stars? The price is a little too much. Honestly, I would rather pay $20 or $30 for this. The only reason I bought it at this price was because I didn't trust the eBay option. Overall, this probably one of the coolest Amibos on the market. If you're willing to fork in some money, this is a neat buy for in-game loot and as a figurine.

My 6 yo is in love with Zelda: Breath of the Wild. More importantly he loves the Guardians (robot spiders.) The package arrived in a timely manner and in perfect condition. We use these for the game, and don’t collect them in the package; even though it was in great condition. The guardian is very detailed and very sturdy. The legs bend and move and is very high quality. Highly recommend for collectors or just kids that like the “robot spiders.”

Little bigger than the average Zelda amiibo and bit on heavier side but definitely a wonderful addition to adoring Zelda fans. Obviously pricier than others but with the daily items it offers just go buy it if not already. Looks great with other Zelda amiibos having that menacing look.

Wir, mein Sohn und ich spielen leidenschaftlich "Zelda, Breath of the Wild". Zum Geburtstag gabs dann das Viererset an Amibos für den "Kleinen" und zu Weihnachten bestellte ich den Wächter als Amibo, allerdings bei der Konkurrenz, weils billiger war. Die Bestellung war Anfang Dezember! Bis vor zwei Wochen kam aber nichts rüber. Dann habe ich das storniert und bei Amazon bestellt, japanischer Import. Siehe da, es war zwar teurer, aber vorgestern hatte ich das Paket in den Händen, aus den Staaten....äh.., egal. Hey, das sieht so geil aus!! Das ist es echt die schönste Amibo bisher! Mein Sohnemann ist nächstes Wochenende wieder da, hey, ich freu mich so auf ihn - und auf sein Gesicht wenn er den Wächter sieht. Hoffe nur, dass die Figur kompatibel zur deutschen Version des Spiels ist. Optisch ist der Amibo der Hammer, aber zum Ausprobieren der Extras müssen wir noch auf den Sohnemann warten. Mal gucken wie die "inneren" Werte sein werden. Ich wird später mal updaten. Bis dahin .....
