I ordered this unit for installing a Pioneer unit in my 2010 Subaru Outback. A few other reviews seemed to have issues with proper dip switch settings and getting everything to work properly, but I had none of these issues. After following the instructions for soldering the wiring connections provided by Crux and setting the switches as per their recommendations, I installed the new headunit in my car and all my steering wheel controls just worked perfectly. Overall it couldn't be simpler. The one note or piece of advice I have, is that the Crux unit has both and "Illumination" wire and a "Dimmer" wire. The harness for the Pioneer unit I installed (DMH-2660NEX if you're curious) only had a "Dimmer" wire, so I connected those two, which didn't trigger the automatic dimming properly for the headunit when the headlights turned on, so I had to reconnect and resolder the "Illumination" wire from the Crux harness to the "Dimmer" wire on the Pioneer harness. But that's more an issue with Pioneers harness design than the Crux design. I would highly recommend this unit, and will be purchasing another in the near future for a WRX I'm buying.

After splicing all the wires of the supplied harness with the harness of the aftermarket radio I realized it wasn’t the correct attachment that CRUX supplied for my 2014 Subaru I currently own like they noted on the compatibility. So I was able to purchase the correct harness and spliced the cables of the CRUX adapter and is still didn’t work. I finally gave up and now can’t return it and am out over $70 with no steering wheel control.

Plug and play make sure you match before splicing fits good listen for clicks programs to swc read instructions works pretty good will buy another for my other wrx

I thought I had done something wrong st first, but realized I just had the dipswitches in the wrong orientation. Since fixing that, my new radio works perfectly. Great product.

purchase this go on a road trip in two days and now I have pulled apart my stereo console and realized this will not fit. 2012 Subaru outback is supposed to clearly fit this and it doesn't..... now I got to figure out what to do
