fun
Artorian is still at it. He is in a rampant rush to get through Asgard before Barry breaks free. Time gets short. Demons trade sides, the Barry breaks loose! Odin does more harm than good, because he wants a rematch with Artorian first. Artorian visits his past friends and closes loose threads. The confrontation comes and Artorian must make the hard choice to put Barry down and Save everyone in Cal. He wins but is in bad shape. This is not a stand alone, but a continuation. It is still a fun romp. It does read as one massive resolution to the arc what with all the old characters being revisited and threads tied up. Still a great story. Please enjoy.

Welcome Back to the Archives
Dennis, or Floof as he's better known, Welcomes us back to the expansive world of Artorian's Archives with open arms. However, while it is well written, as is the staple for Floof and Dakota, it seems as though for other readers, fatigue appears to be setting in. And I, as much as I wish to, can't discredit this. While I personally can not say I have been fatigued, I can say that with the massive and ever-growing expansive world of the DDU (divine dungeon universe) It starts to get difficult to remember characters outside of the few main characters and Artorian himself unless you are rereading the older books anytime a new one comes out. However, when a series goes on for as long as Artorians Archives does you are bound to run into this problem. This is no issue unique to Floof but it can be distracting nonetheless.Artorian is, at his core, a complicated character, easily one of the most complex personalities I've ever had the fortune of reading. From book one, it was very clear that he was going to be unlike any other character out there and that is due to Floof's deep-minded way of creating his characters. Floof hasn't just created Artorian, he's created and crafted an entire psyche, going so deep as to even create his inner psychology and incredibly complex history. Artorian is so complex in fact, that he seems to have a knack for taking concepts that are comparatively simple in the other books and making them eventually vastly more complicated. Which, while great for the character and for the reader in the ability to see more in-depth what these worlds have to offer, does run its own risk as well. As the series continues and the more complicated it gets it can get difficult to fully track the complexity of the character and the world itself. One can be overcome with just how truly deep the rabbit hole goes. This is simply one thing for Floof to watch out for however and does not necessarily pose a serious risk to the series as it continues.Overall this series as a whole and this book in particular still is well-deserving of a 5-star rating in my books. The world is so well made and maintained and it is very clear that a lot of passion is put into this series. While a few problems do appear to be rearing their heads, they should not seriously derail fans of the series, especially if a closer eye is kept on them in the future. Looking forward to book 10!

This series is running out of steam
I loved the early Artorian's Archives books, but the last few have just been going downhill and this continues the decline. The plot is a disjointed and incoherent string of random events that frequently fail to follow logically from one another, strung together by shoehorned-in puns and pop culture references reminiscent of the Xanth series at its worst. It doesn't even get to Asgard until after the halfway mark, barely spends much time there, and does little to further the central premise of the series: answering the question of "how did Cal's world go from what we see in The Divine Dungeon to what we see in Completionist Chronicles?"It feels like about time to put this series on hiatus for a while and focus more on other projects, such as more Completionist or the next Full Murderhobo book. Come back to Artorian when the authors have some fresh ideas again, because this series deserves better than what it's been getting recently.

I'm going to be sad when Artorian is all done
I love the way the Author has built up the character Artorian and I really enjoy the silly little pop culture stuff that you throw in out of nowhere. Again I wish it was longer but I understand that all good books have to end sometime. Thank you for another great book.

So many references
Story was better than the last book but very...complicated. There were so many references to past books in the series that succeeded in being recognized as a reference, but failed to jog my memory fully, that I found myself often confused about what was going on. The author also had an absolute plethora of references to other fantasy books, movies, RL events, etc, that it was just...too much. Felt like the device was overused.I got the audio book and it was well done, but due to all the references I couldnt quite remember, it was tedious to have to stop what i was doing to back up and listen to it again trying to figure out what was being referenced and if it was important to the plot.If I'm honest I'm not really enjoying the series anymore but overall it was a decent series, i just kinda wish it would end because it seems like i understand less and less each book.

The slow decline continues
I was originally a huge fan of this series, and the mix between lighthearted adventure and angry grandpa was really enjoyable. But as of roughly the 6th or 7th book, the jokes have been feeling more and more forced, and the convoluted setups and references are just making the series messy. The ramping up action and return to the original system applications are nice, but the long dragged out fight was a little overbarrying. Overall, ill probably finish the series, but I've been considering quitting for a while now.

Nonsense
This book is filled with nonsensical forced plotlines to bring about an extremely boring, drawn out fight with the big bad. It's attempts at being philosophical fall flat. It's consistency of internal rules and power scale is non-existent.And like many authors in this genre, they provide no resolution period after the climax; it just ends. Where's the notifications and quest rewards from completing the quest? Things like that should be part of the resolution period of the book and I hate how often they are skipped.I don't know why I'm even still reading this series. It's absolutely nothing like the first couple books that I loved. It's gone off the rails so hard.

It got good at the end but there's a lot to get past.
I've generally enjoyed the Artorians Archives books but this is probably my least favourite. The constant, unnecessary pop culture references feel really crowbared in and every time Artorian meets an old character the pacing grinds to a halt regardless of what is happening or the urgency of the actual events of the moment. It was good around these things but they are so numerous that it really made it hard to read so I'm not sure if I recommend it or not.

Great read
I really enjoyed reading this book. I recommend refreshing your memory by reading the previous books so you know who is who because Sunny makes a lot of friends

One Of The Weaker Entries
This series has just about run out of steam in my opinion. This entry brings the demon infestation plot to an end. The jokes just didn't feel new or amusing, it took half the book to get to Asgard and when we got there it was a quick in and out visit. Also I know that Artorian is the avitor of love but this was a bit sappy. Some of the characters giggling just weren't gigglers in previous entries. Trying a bit hard maybe? I'd like to get back to the other series. More interesting things happening.
