I'm not sure of the recommended age, but I bought them for my 12 year old nieces and they fit fine. They fit adults as well.

Can kids wear these, she will be 8?

Yes my son can wear them and he is 9. I can also wear them as an adult. Of course they're looser on him but they're wearable for sure

Will these fit a 5 year old ?

Probably not. They barely fit my 8 year old. They are really for adults. Mine uses a rubber band around the wrist to keep them on.
