SodaStream Penguin Glass Carafe

I'm a little disappointed, but partly by my own mistake. I accidentally purchased the individual carafe when I thought I was ordering a set of two. The carafe itself is fine, it does what a carafe should do. But the price is kinda redonk considering you can get two carafes for half the price of this single one, and as far as I can tell, they are exactly the same as this one. Not sure what that's all about. Anyway, I kept it since it was my own error, but I won't be ordering this particular item in the future, especially not for $39.

I did not think I was buying a soda fountain, I was not trying to save money, what I was buying was an experinence to make my own sodas and I received a good product for the price spent. My family has fun making their own sodas and flavored drinks. The mixes are very tasty and equal in flavor to the big brand names.We like the product and will use the product from time to time during the year.

These carafes are way overpriced and break far too easily! They are made in an ovoid shape which makes for difficult handling in the fridge and are constantly falling over or out of the top shelf of a crowded (who doesn't have one of those) fridge! Frankly....a big "RIP-OFF!!!!" I must be on my third or fourth carafe so far and at 20 bucks plus a piece....Whoooaaa Nellie!!!!

After doing some research on the Sodastream products I was convinced that I was going with the Penguin. This product has been everything that I expected. Right out of the box it is super simple to setup and operate. If you drink quite a bit of soda I would buy 2 more carafe's because 2-2 liter carafe's is not quite enough to keep a ready supply of soda in the fridge. I have put out 15 liter bottles so far on the first CO2 tank and still going.

I gave this as a gift to my daughter who was spending a lot of money on sparkling water and throwing many plastic bottles in the recycle. One year later and only two chargers this has completely changed. She loves the penguin and uses it exclusively. It is so easy to use that my 6 year old grand daughter can make the water. After trying a number of the flavors the family has settled on plain sparkling water. This is a GREAT product!

The glass looked cool but did not fit in the sofa stream. Had to use the plastic bottle and transfer into the glass one

Love the product. Lots of possibilities for flavoring. Great for summer. Things with tiny particles can cause a volcano like effect. Yep, it happened with red wine.

i put the cap on and the glass chipped after the second use... now it doesnt seal and make fizzy water anymore
