Wouldn't be able to get the PAWZ on without it. Tricky at first but if you realize the shape of the boot and the shape of the device, you can figire out what direction works best. Don't follow the instructions that come with - you won't be able to 'guide' your dogs foot in with one finger from each hand and hold the device correctly and apply with your hands stuck to the unit, the boot and your dogs foot. My advice: once the boot is on the device, hold it so it is the same orientation as your dogs foot (flat side of boot matches top/bottom of foot - not the sides!). Open device with handles, guide foot all the way in, use free hand/fingers to quickly release boot from applicator at all four points. Repeat until done. Enjoy your dogs new found freedom!!

Too bad I have now discovered that the paw covers sold for this item are really too tight around the dog's ankle to keep on for any period of time. When one is traveling in rainy weather, you really cannot stand under an umbrellas and fiddle with this thing, especially when you must stop in edgy locations. We have a big dog and you can't put them on over the seatback. Still, in muddy locations, the dog has to be able to go, so, I just suck it up and this does help. I sometimes wonder just what our dog thinks of all of this sillyness!?

Don't get me wrong with 3 stars. This is a great way to put the boots on my lab and saves a lot of time. And much better for dog and Dad. Great idea. However, there is a "pinch" point where I was pinched during the process and the Jawz drew some blood on my finger. This should be addressed to prevent others from the same experience.

It is quite difficult to put the, "balloon" boots on a dog as they must be tight to be secure. This clever little device works great! It should just be sold with the boots,

If I ever get the hang of it, I'll revise this review, but for now, trying to get the PAWZ on--and have them stay on--this thing is as or more difficult than putting them on without it. I got it right once, and it was easier. But most of the time, they pop off as I'm trying to get them on the gizmo or as I'm trying to get the bootie on the dog's paw. A couple of days ago, I had gotten as far as my dog's paw when the bootie popped off and the Jawz snapped shut and badly pinched my finger. Ow!! Immediate deep (tho tiny) bruise. Nonetheless, I'll probably try a few more times because obviously some people have mastered the technique and found these Jawz a big help.

I brought this because I found it difficult to put on the paws dog boots and what a game changer!! I really recomend the paws dog boots as they really stay on! We have dogs that love their daily walks but do have trouble with the salt and cold. These boots are a game changer for that, They stay on and much more durable than I expected but are hard to get on. That is until I found this tool. Works great we did have to trim a corner on the tool as it ripped the dog boot at first but a little smoothing of the edge fixed that.

im not the sharpest tool in the shed, but it took my and my friend mutie times to figure how to use. needless to say it was easier for my lab just to give me her paw and i manually put on the PAWZ than this contraption. great idea, just didnt work for me

My dog walker loves to use the rubber boots, this makes putting them in a breeze.

This device is very helpful if you have trouble putting on the ballon type boots on your dog. It is expo for a piece of plastic but if you need it you need it.

Once you get the hang of it, this does make things a little easier. Very cheaply made, likely only last 1 winter.

毎回手で伸ばしてはかしてましてたが、結構大変だったのでどんなものかと興味本位で購入しました。素手でやっていたときよりも早く履かす事が出来て楽になりました。ただ、コツを掴むまでに私は少し時間がかかったのと、履かした後の外すときに気をつけないとゴムがパチンとなって四つ足の子達が嫌がったり、使い方に寄っては自分の手を挟むこともあったりで気を付けないとならないです。

大型犬の為に買いましたが、使用に際しコツが必要です。そもそも、大型犬ラバーは固いためここにはめるのも一苦労します。また、うまくはめないと他の方の記載のように、ずれて開くためうまく履かすことが出来ません。私も最初は苦労しましたが、最初深目に引っ掛け十分に引っ張ってから、下を引っ掛けると入口が大きくなるため、履かせやすくなります。

Work well once you get the hang of it. It pinched my finger badly twice when squeezing it and broke blood. You have to be careful how you hold it but very effective!I got 8 balloons on (2 dogs) in 5 to 10 minutes for a first try... not bad! Makes the job way easier!
