94 K1500 4X4 Love These
94 K1500 4X4 Stock, no lift, no leveling. Great Shock. Lifted my saggy truck back up at least 1.5", look cool, simple install. Before you screw up your ride with expensive leveling and lift kits, put a pair of these cool shocks on. I recommend taking a ratchet strap and cutting off the strap and then cutting off the hook on the remaining strap. So you just have the ratchet and the strap (no hooks). Then tie the strap back onto the ratchet and bingo you have a hookless strap that you can tighten up the shock with. In my rig it was even easy to install the strap after the shock was attached to the upper bolts. Compress the shock and install the lower bolt, then remove the strap. If you have your truck properly jacked up, you only need to compress 1/2 inch or less. Makes it safer and easier. If you don't know what you're doing, don't do it. Shocks are great, look good, ride good. It's a stiffer ride, but it's on a truck. I love them and the price is very reasonable.

Lifts about 2”
Nice shocks very firm, raised the truck like 2”… I got it for a 2nd gen ram there hard to install even tho there the same size as the stock ones, the spring makes it really hard to compress to get the bolts in.. so I jacked the shock up and put a ratchet on it to pull it into place. Looks good

Smooth & Strong! Fits RWD Astro/Safari
Fantastic for a 1987 Chevrolet Astro Van, in my case a RWD camper. It's all but impossible to find load-adjusting shocks for a front axle, much less tweakable ones. I've been "Astro" my entire adult life and with added cowl weight or engine compartment weight in these are a life saver! Quiet, improved handling, stability, ride height, traction, easy to install if you lift the front high enough to get the shock through the control arm slot from the bottom. These fit inside the coil spring very well and add life to motor mounts. Braking is even better in my case. My only recommendation is Grade 8's or 10's over the supplied hardware. Also, since I use them in a modified application, I make a couple of slight modifications as photographed. Note: Although shock length and diameter is the same as OEM, load carrier shocks are all but impossible to compress by hand after the hand-tight top nut is installed. Rather than compressing the shock bottom with a jack and having zero clearance for the bottom eye bolts, it's easier to start with two long bolts to snug it up. Then, remove one at a time and replace with your short bolts. In conclusion, these shocks are FANTASTIC, especially considering the price and performance!

Enhanced Stability and Control for my 1996 Ford Ranger
I recently upgraded my 1996 Ford Ranger with these coil-over shocks from Amazon, and the results have been impressive overall. The fit was spot-on, instantly transforming the handling dynamics of my truck. One of the most noticeable improvements was the enhanced stability. The coil-over shocks provided a significant boost in control at higher speeds, making my Ranger feel more planted and responsive on the road. The steering and stopping capabilities were notably improved, contributing to an overall safer and more enjoyable driving experience. However, there were a couple of aspects that caught my attention. While the fit was excellent, the ride did become a bit rougher. It's a trade-off for the increased stability, and I found it acceptable for the performance gains. Another concern was the plastic coil spring retainer. It didn't instill the same confidence as the other components. Although it didn't affect the performance, I would have preferred a more robust material for added durability. In terms of the driving experience, the upgrade undeniably made my truck feel newer. The control and responsiveness added a modern touch to the driving dynamics, and I appreciated the overall improvement in handling. In conclusion, these coil-over shocks are a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to breathe new life into their older Ford Ranger. The noticeable improvements in stability, control, and the truck's overall feel make it a solid choice. Despite a slightly rougher ride and the plastic retainer, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. I would recommend these shocks to fellow Ranger owners seeking an upgrade for a more engaging and secure driving experience.

Skeptical.....But Satisfied.
****Original review, update at bottom**** Yes, I was very skeptical being the first one to write a review on this. Actually I was skeptical on having to be the FIRST one to write a review. If you are like me, and are on amazon, the reviews make a heck of a difference in what you purchase and how you make your orders. I took a chance. I figured stock shocks and a prime membership, If I didn't like them after a couple of days, take them off, and send them back. Installation was pretty simple, except for the ability to jam my forearm between the axle and break line trying to break the bolts upside down. Just a note: I'm no mechanic. Jack the frame up and let the leaf springs rest and then disconnect the shocks, and install. Don't be like me, and think you need to compress the shocks to get them in. I did that on one side before the light bulb went off. Put it on jack stands and let the shocks release to full length. Second. The coil isn't that thick....didn't really bother me to much, but the housing that the coil sits on is a very hard plastic. THIS IS WHY 4 STARS. I'm not ready to give it five until I don't think that piece is going to break off. ****Update BELOW***** The stock made the ride a ton smoother, and handled turns, bumps, and highway speeds with no problems. Once satisfied, I asked my brother to hop in the back of the truck and test out the weight capacity. Much improved. I'll definitely not go over manufacturer's recommended weight, but carrying normal weights seemed much less sag. Will Update soon when I determine the longevity of this housing. other than that, If you're looking for something relative cheap and worthwhile, I would recommended this. ****UPDATE 2/2016****** So in this time frame, I've moved apartments twice, and moved into a house. That being said, my pickup truck has seen an above average usage in this time frame. These shocks have been nothing but ample for everything I've used them for. The plastic housing is very suitable and heavy duty for the usage. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a great shock for the vehicle, and moving my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. 2025***** Still running strong!

Excellent Product
I bought the Gabriel's to help the rear of my 2006 GMC Canyon, the leaves were sagging because of the weight I carry for work. The Shocks and springs are well made and nicely appointed. Ride height increased by about 2 inches unloaded and settled back to normal with my tools inside. Ride quality is excellent, the back end is firmer but not harsh, truck handles better and feels more stable. I am very please with my purchase, saved me hundreds of dollars by not having to replace the rear springs.
