Skin care of Royalty!
APIVITA Queen Bee Holistic Age Defense Night Cream 1.69 fl.oz. |Intensive Night Treatment That Speeds Skin Regeneration, Smooths Wrinkle & Increases Skin Elasticity with Royal Jelly & Hyaluronic Acid$95 is super steep for night cream. I’m very familiar with royal jelly as I used a face cream with it 2 decades ago. At that time the 1.5 oz product was $150.I have very DRY & MATURE skin and found this night cream to glide easily over my face with a rich, thick, moisturizing feel. My skin loves it.Royal jelly is a secretion from the glands of worker bees that is used to nourish larvae.I’m not a scientist, nor a doctor, so I turned to google as my modern day encyclopedia.“The composition of royal jelly makes it a multitasking ingredient in skin care. It can fight signs of aging with the powerful vitamins B, C, and E, amino and fatty acids, minerals, and antioxidants which soothe and nourish skin. It is a popular ingredient in skin creams, and research supports its use as a COLLAGEN ENHANCER. By boosting collagen production in the skin, royal jelly also helps to protect skin against the effects of ultraviolet radiation.”The product page doesn’t have the ingredients listed. I wish Amazon would require it. Regardless, I included a photo of the ingredients from the box and I also included them below this review. If this fits in your budget, I highly recommend.🤗 Thank you so much for taking the time to read this review, have a FANTASTIC day!!😊Ingredients (as listed on box, see photo for reference):Aqua/Water/Eau**, Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Propanediol, Dodecane, Glyceryl Stearate, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, PEG-100 Stearate, Mel Extract/Honey Extract/Extrait de miel*, Royal Jelly, Cera Alba/Beeswax/Cire d'abeille*, Propolis Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit* Extract, Zizyphus Jujuba Seed Extract, Cistus Incanus Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Commiphora Myrrha Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil*, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil*, Boswellia Carterii Oil*, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Papain, Algin, Tocopherol, Sigesbeckia Orientalis Extract, Rabdosia Rubescens Extract, Gynostemma Pentaphyllum Leaf/Stem Extract, Hellanthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Glyceryl Linoleate, Glyceryl Linolenate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Bisabolol, Lecithin, Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, Arginine, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glutamine, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, PEG-20 Stearate, Sorbitan Stearate, Citric Acid, Decyl Glucoside, Phytoecdysteroids, Carbomer, Caprylyl Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Phenethyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum/Fragrance, Benzyl Salicylate, Linalool, Limonene, Citronellol, Geraniol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Hydroxycitronellal,*Organic Cultivation/ issu de l’agriculture biologique**Rosa Canina Fruit* Aqueous Infusion=Wild Rose Infusion/ Infusion de rose sauvage

PUTRID SCENT THAT WON'T WASH OFF -- WOULD HAVE BEEN A 5 STAR REVIEW OTHERWISE
Well, I wasn't expecting that ... Without the truly horrible scent, I would have given this rich and intensive night cream 5 stars. Royal Jelly drew me to the cream, as the brand is unknown to me. I really like that ingredient, and my dry skin favors oil-rich creams of this type, as they work beautifully on me. The goal is to smooth wrinkles and increase skin elasticity with the added help of Hyaluronic Acid (another fave of mine) for the 3 R's: replenish, restore, and renew. I was totally onboard for this cream and loved the richness of it when tested on my hand, which I often due because of my sensitive skin. It's a good thing that I didn't put it on my face first or I wouldn't be wearing any skincare or cosmetics for at least a week while I treated the immediate irritation and inflammation it caused. The overkill fragrance added to this cream is not only totally unessential, but so overpowering and unpleasant that I had an immediate allergic reaction just from smelling it, and also contact allergy on my hand. I scrubbed my hand multiple times with gentle soap and water, but the scent literally wouldn't wash off. Finally, I used rubbing alcohol on a cotton square a few times, and washed my hand again TWICE. I could still smell it! This is one of the most potent, and frankly unappealing, fragrances I've ever encountered in skin care. It's not like I don't know that Europeans prefer HIGHLY SCENTED beauty products and knew that this was a Greek brand, so I assumed the scent would be noticeable, but not to this extent. For those who don't know, fragrance is the primary cause of severe allergic reactions in any fragranced product, but this one was beyond tolerance.I hate to give a bad review for this product. As mentioned, if not for the fragrance it would have been a 5 star review, but there's no way I can overlook the severity of the scent issue and not warn others. At $90, this pricey skincare is useless to me now since I can't wear it at all, and sadly must throw it away. I would encourage APIVITA to rethink continued inclusion of this scent in their product. It's just really too much. Honestly, I can't imagine any woman wanting it on their face.

rich facial moisturizer, nice smelling fragrance but a bit overwhelming
This night cream has a thick and rich consistency, very moisturizing. It was absorbed by my skin pretty quickly after applying and did not leave it feeling sticky or tacky. While this brand promotes itself as a more natural, clean, and eco conscious type of product, there are a few ingredients that could potentially be allergens for sensitive skin, so make sure to look at the ingredients list if you have sensitive skin. I'm lucky I don't have super sensitive skin and this product did not irritate or cause any negative reactions. I didn't see the ingredients list on the description page (yet) so I looked it up on their official site and post it here for you to refer to. You can find it on the paper box packaging but I know there are people who want to look at it before deciding if this product would be a good fit. I left it at the end of the review. While I did like the consistency and the moisture it gives my skin, I felt that this product is too heavily fragranced. If the scent is taken down a few notches this would have easily been a face cream I'd want to use every single night. The fragrance, while a nice smell when you initially apply on your face, is too overwhelming and overpowering and just almost becomes headache inducing. The fragrance even lingers on my fingers and takes a while to dissipate. As I said, it isn't a bad smell, just too strong of a smell that it goes from enjoyable to not so enjoyable. I do smell royal jelly/honey but it isn't your typical honey type of scent as it also has other smells like rose, myrrh, and frankincense essential oils. Overall, I just feel like there was too much "stuff" jam packed into this face cream, but in an overwhelming way.Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau**, Aqua/Water/Eau, Triheptanoin, Glycerin, Olus Oil/Vegetable Oil/Huile Végétale, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Propanediol, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol Dicaprylate, Glyceryl Stearate, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, PEG-100 Stearate, Mel Exract/Honey Extract/Extrait de miel*, Royal Jelly, Cera Alba/Beeswax/Cire d'abeille*, Propolis Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit* Extract, Zizyphus Jujuba Seed Extract, Cistus Incanus Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Commiphora Myrrha Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil*, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil*, Boswellia Carterii Oil*, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sigesbeckia Orientalis Extract, Rabdosia Rubescens Extract, Gynostemma Pentaphyllum Leaf/Stem Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Glyceryl Linoleate, Glyceryl Linolenate, Sorbitan Palmitate, Cetyl Palmitate, Bisabolol, Lecithin, Glycine, Alanine, Serine, Valine, Threonine, Isoleucine, Proline, Phenylalanine, Histidine, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, Arginine, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glutamine, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, PEG-20 Stearate, Citric Acid, Aspartic Acid, Sorbitan Olivate, Decyl Glucoside, PCA, Phytoecdysteroids, Sodium PCA, Sodium Lactate, Citronellyl Methylcrotonate, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenethyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum/Fragrance, Benzyl Salicylate, Linalool, Limonene, Citronellol, Geraniol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Hydroxycitronellal, CI 77891/Titanium Dioxide.

Excellent cream but too scented
I really hate it when companies ruin an otherwise excellent product by a very correctable and stupid mistake. I don't want to go so far as to say that this cream has been ruined, but it is far too scented for my liking, and probably most people's tastes. The cream itself is very nice and thick, and a little goes a very long way. It is very expensive, there is no doubt about that, however when considering how much use I was able to get out of it by simply a dab with the tip of my finger being enough to spread across my whole face, I would say that this cream will last you a very long time. I have an oily T zone, as well as dry spots around my chin, and found that it did a reasonably good job of not exacerbating my oily areas, but most importantly an excellent result in hydrating my dry spots. I think I would recommend this cream to those people who have a drier skin type, as it does do a very nice job of moisturizing with its thicker consistency. The downfall of this cream is how scented it actually is. It's not that it is unpleasant, it's that it is strong and lingers for a very long time. I used it as a night cream, so by the morning it had dissipated some, but I could even still smell it then. That might be something that some people like as a feature, but for myself personally I actually prefer unscented creams. It is rare to find a cream that is so powerfully scented, that it can last all night long. Even my pillow had begun to absorb the scent. So I felt like I was unable to get away from it, even if I didn't apply the cream. I think if they dial back the scent a lot, or simply get rid of it altogether, you'll have a fantastic cream on your hands here. All in all, performance wise it works really well at moisturizing and hydrating, but they have to tone down the scent or get rid of it for this to be a top notch cream. That may be a subjective opinion, but something tells me I wouldn't be alone in thinking that.
