Be very careful when you buy this product! The description states it can be "ceiling or wall surface-mounted" but it comes without any brackets to hang or mount the light. When I wrote to LED wholesalers to inquire as to how I was going to hang this light they replied: "To hang the light panel, simply tie metal cables (not included) to these brackets. It does not appear that your panel is missing anything (no additional hardware is supposed to be included).If the panel is to be surface-mounted, one would need to obtain additional hardware elsewhere." To me this is ridiculous, to sell a light that is meant to be hung and not include the necessary hardware to do that! I guess I will have to pay more attention to product descriptions from now on!

I love this light. I installed it in my 2x2 grid ceiling at my restaurant. I replaced a florescent troffer light with it. I will be replacing more with this light. It looks like a skylight when it's installed. It was as easy as taking out the old light and putting in this new panel and hooking up the two wires. It is very thin and light and only required myself to lift into the ceiling and install. The ballast or driver on the back is removable, but I did not need to do that. I will be putting these into my kitchen too, since they have the built in diffuser they will not need the additional shields for the bulbs. I would expect these to be much easier to clean too.

first unit we received did not work, returned it and this one works, but it's obviously a refurb or a return or something. The power supply is physically broken off its mounting points. The wire into the panel has been spliced twice and heat shrink wrapped. The electrical contacts that are supposed to mate A/C to the power supply are just physically missing as is the grounding lug that the last one had.So ya it lights up but it's a mess. The power supply puts out 38V despite it's indicated 36 V max. So who knows what the LEDs actually require. As reviews on amazon point out there's no UL listing either. That might be trouble given the obvious quality issues.

Very little instructions for ceiling installation, I had to fabricate my own brackets. Otherwise it appears to meet my expectations as far as the light.
