Unfinished Wood Craft Cubes 1-1/4-inch, Pack of 100 Small Wooden Blocks to Decorate, Wooden Cubes for Crafts and Décor, by Woodpeckers

I'd ordered a large order (1,000) of these blocks in the past, and they arrived promptly and largely as described. I expected a few misshapen cubes, and a general variety of +/- 1/8", which was the case, but largely, the set was fine.I recently placed an order for another 500 of these blocks, in two sets of 250, which was the maximum available (for some reason, the option of 1,000 is no longer listed). The quality of the cubes was noticeably worse than the first batch: misshapen, roughly cut, angled cuts, some big, some small... I'd say at least a third of them were unusable as cubes.I use these cubes in my art, and I plan on ordering from another supplier for my next order because of how disappointed I was in this batch. If you're using these for something low stakes, kid's art project, for example, you're probably fine. But if you're expecting the sanded and finished 1" cubes pictured in the product photos, especially if you're ordering a lot, I'd think again, or buy a small set to check the quality yourself.

This product was listed as 3 inch cubes. The packaging states 3 inch cubes. I measured them...they are 2 inch cubes. I will be returning these as they are useless to me.

The cubes arrived in mostly good condition and they measure about 15/16ths of an inch (not a full inch, but almost). They are basically all the same, except with very small variations in size and color. A good portion of the blocks were neatly aligned in the box they arrived in, with the chaos around them likely being caused during shipping (see picture). If the seller was stacking them nicely in the box, then that means they probably knew they didn't send the full quantity. I would have returned this item if I didn't need it immediately. All 36 blocks came, but there were a handful that had large chunks missing or were separating from the actual block. Thankfully there were 26 I was able to use to add the ABCs. I wanted to do #s 0-9 as well, but 7/10 were chipped.If they were all perfectly made, I would have given them 5 stars since they're large enough for toddlers to play without being a choking hazard.

Agree with all the other reviewers who note that these are uncommonly good wood cubes compared to other choices in approximately the same price range. Finish is relatively smooth - certainly no splinters. True cube is limited by the variance in side dimensions, and the 3/4" cubes were very consistently within 19-19.5mm on all three sides with square corners throughout for 95+% of the bag. Skewed parallelogram "cubes" I regularly discard from other slightly less expensive sources are notably minimal here - a huge relief.I will return for other purchases in the future. Fortunate to have found this source. Not sure if the demand is there, but how about 1x2x3 and 1x2x4 stock?

These served their purpose, The rest is up to me. I'm using them to carve chess pieces. the wood looked nice from an amatuer like myself. carving isn't too hard but be careful not to cut yourself! it probably would of been easier to use a softer wood and just oil it up after but I want to be able to carve any type of wood so I didn't get that softer balsa. I took some pictures of a cube and a picture of what will hopefully become a Rook. happy shopping!

I bought these as basic plain blocks for my kids to build with since most stuff available in stores is just overloaded with terribly ugly pictures, in ugly colors and plain ugly. I wanted to make our own simple ABC blocks out of these or just play with them out of the box, as advertised. These are NOT suitable for kids to play with though, and should not be advertised as such. These are strictly craft only blocks. 1) Sanding is minimal, these are not a very smooth surface and would require more sanding for little hands. 2) Corners are not rounded at all, they are very pointy. 3) There are splinters. 4) Some blocks have cracks or are cut badly such that surface is not smooth.

These are terrible, completely unusable. I bought them to decorate for a baby shower and probably spent an hour on amazon reading reviews to find blank blocks that didn't have splinters. These seemed like my best choice, and I cannot believe the terrible quality. If it was one or two blocks that were chipped, I would have still used the good ones, but at least half the blocks came with splinters and rough edges, some with missing corners.

There were 2-3 blocks that were cracked. But I kept them I needed it for a babyshower.

Exactly what I expected! They're smooth and perfect for my baby shower game (going to have guests decorate the blocks for my baby girl on the way)
