One thing to note: When placing the 2.5 SSD in the adapter, you need to push firmly to seat the SSD into the SATA connector on the adapter. If the screwholes don't appear to be lining up, push harder. This is clearly not a manufacturing issue, rather the cradle is designed to grab and firmly retain the SSD, probably even without the screws.Came with screws and a little screwdriver as well.
