We have quite a few mason bees living in strange holes near my house, so I decided to purchase this bee house for them. It was packaged well and came as described. It only took a few days for the bees to find it and start filling it. We only have about 9 tenants at this point, but I'm hopeful that next year there will be more as these bees emerge and come back to fill more holes. I have this hanging on the soffit under my gutter so it's out of the direct weather. I'm interested to see how it holds up.UPDATE June 2019: Almost two years later and I still absolutely love my bee house!!! It's almost full this year and it's held up very well. It is hanging under my soffit and out of direct weather, but I do keep it out all year long. It's been really interesting watching them. They are non aggressive so you can get pretty up close without them getting very agitated.
