To weak to hold cord
Useless for the job they are meant to do, ie hold a cord firmly, cord just slips as spring not up to job.

I didn’t realise how much I needed these in my life!! I brought them for my sons draw cords on his jogging trousers because they are always massive round the waist but having ADHD he finds tying and untying really difficult, especially when rushing to the toilet. They have worked great!! Used them on all my childrens trainers and school shoes laces, on baby ribbon to use as curtain tie backs. They are so useful and easy to use!
