the scent from the powder on the box took my breath, why? I've bought several soaps and none had powder film on them.

Because the soaps are naked, meaning not individually wrapped to save on waste, they can experience some shifting around inside their boxes which creates a rubbing of the bars. The powder in the box is simply soap powder from this shifting inside the box.

When I received my package there was heavily scented powder all over the package and inside. What is the powder?

Occasionally during shipping and handling, the soaps can bump around inside their boxes and the friction can cause the powder you're seeing. The powder is soap as a result of this.

How is it “pure plant oils,” yet you have a “goat’s milk” bar?

All four soaps in this variety pack contain pure plant oils. The Goats Milk with Raspberry is the only soap in this pack that also contains goats milk.
