Solid sequel
Good, but left me with a lot more questions than answers.

So enjoyable
All the drama you would expect from American Royals. We would be so much more messy than the British monarch. I can't wait to read the next installment.

Not the way I imagined.
Ok. So. I’m sad to say this was my most expected sequel and also my most disappointing one.I’m giving it 3 stars because despite the plot not being what I imagined, Katharine has a really beautiful way of writing that keeps you going on.BUT:This book truly does away with so much groundwork laid out in the first book. It was really disappointing to see the partners just switch out? Like Connor deserved better!!! And I loved Teddy too, but I just didn’t like it at the expense of Connor.Nina is the only female character of color and she constantly gets the short end of the stick. She can never be happy apparently, and she’s barely featured beyond her love story. Also, ETHAN??? Like that was bull lol.Daphne is also supposed to be the “villain” or a really good anti-hero, and we’re supposed to be ok with the things she does because we see her inner turmoil over everything but like.. no? She gets everything she wants but because she’s all alone that’s it? She doesn’t get taken down and Jefferson is the biggest idiot in the world. Also, Jefferson. He’s barely featured? Beatrice apparently NEVER talks to him? She could literally have told him about Daphne blackmailing her but no one talks to each other in this book apparently. We just get time jumps where a bunch of things happen. And he is apparently pained by Nina but doesn’t try anything to get her back, but suddenly is in love with Daphne? Like is no one going to tell this boy anything???Samantha is always a fun character to read, and I feel for her but i thought we had gotten past the whole “I’m just the spare” argument by the end of the first book. But it’s in this book for a wholeeeee chunk. I’m glad she gets to be happy though.Beatrice deserves better than what Robert was doing to her. But we didn’t really get to see a badass moment of her being queen. And then i get to the end of this book at 4 am, PISSED, only to find out there’s not going to be a third book??? This whole book was the biggest slow burn filler ever. Nothing really gets settled at the end? It’s not a cliffhanger but like... the most unsatisfactory ending.I really hope the author changes her mind and writes a third one to finalize this series because the characters deserve more. Daphne needs to get brought down because i don’t care what her home life is like, she’s the worst and she doesn’t deserve to be in the royal family. I wish they would all realize this and i hope to get some happily ever afters and badass moments, but for now i guess I’ll just be mad and disappointed.

Really good!
Book came in perfect quality, no bends, water damage or tears. Book itself is very entertaining and I’ve been binging it since I got it :)

A Solid Bridge to carry us over to the final chapter.
I pre-ordered this book the minute I finished the last.I was so excited to continue the American Royal journey.I absolutely enjoyed the book, albeit a bit less than I did the first. I think it is the curse of the bridge book. Often authors use the second book in a trilogy to simply carry the readers to the third act. They do not create the book to have its own life and individual space. I fear that this book has fallen victim to that curse. The book served as a vehicle for the main characters to commit to their arc. Everyone came to their “truths” and became fully realized, whether that be to their better selves or their worst. For some of the characters and relationships, it was centered in growth and depth, like Beatrice and Teddy and Sam and Marshall. For others- Nina, Daphne, Jeff and Ethan - it felt a bit tiresome.Though there may be sone ingenuity in the writing of Jeff- that he is not just completely daft, but rather so self-absorbed he just can’t see anything or anyone beyond himself. But, I fear I may be giving the writer too much credit. It is probably more the fact that she has absolutely abandoned him as a character in this book. She wrote very little about him and basically left him at the start gate while the rest of the characters ran a full lap of life. He is completely one-dimensional- almost like a paper stand-up in this story-a placeholder- here stands “the prince”.Everyone else is on this journey to self- love, acceptance or at least acknowledgement of who they are. Yet, Jeff sleepwalks through this book like a monopoly piece.I do have to reserve my final judgement until the series end. Perhaps the author has something up her sleeve regarding this character and I will be blown away with his story.I felt like this book was too short and also rushed. The part of the story the author decided to share in this installment was very small, unless this isn’t going to be a big story packed with depth. The first book definitely implied that it would be, but the second’s shallowness and brevity imply that it really could go either way.I enjoyed where we are in the story and how we got here, but I felt it needed more time to breathe a more voluminous path. It was sparse.I did enjoy the book and it has me primed and ready for the next (final?) installment. And I will reserve casting any finality to my judgement until the author has finished telling her character’s story.I hope she doesn’t wait too long to release her next installment, this second book is standing on some thin legs and runs the risk of falling down and getting tsunami-ed by other books in this genre that will inevitably come after it.

Amazing read to escape into a fun story and amazing characters
Majesty took me right back into the American Royals world that I missed indulging myself in. And the story was just as page turning as you were eager to find out what was going to happen in the lives of these women. It was the perfect read for an escape filled with laughs and jaw dropping moments of “I can’t believe that just happened!” You go right back into connecting with all the characters - rooting for them (and against some). Thank you Katharine McGee!!! Majesty and American Royals were such fun reads that I will pass along to friends and family!!

Je suis contente de connaître la fin (je crois que c'est la fin) mais je suis un peu déçue.

What?
[Spoiler Alert]I was so in love with the first book, I was so excited about Majesty but, unfortunately it was the biggest disappointment. This book was a just a middle finger to all the readers who fell in love with characters in American Royals, I was really excited to see that how Beatrice and Connor would work things out AND what she falls for Teddy! WHY? Jefferson's character was sidelined, he was non existent. There was no character development.I am hugely disappointed, i just want to throw this book and never think of it again.
