Great little clock with easy set up and easy to see the time

I originally bought this for my travel bag. My previous travel clock required reaching over and pressing the snooze bar to light it up in the dark. I'm lazier than that at 3:00am, but I didn't want something garish lighting up the room, so I looked for something with adjustable brightness. I chose the green numerals for the same reason. There were other clocks available that had these features, but this one just looked handsome. So after narrowing down my choices with the necessary features, the decision was based on aesthetics - which isn't such a bad idea for something that you are going to deliberately look at several times a day. I like being able to turn up the brightness during the day if I choose, but hotel rooms tend to be dark and the lowest setting seems to work fine day and night. The buttons to set the time and alarm are not necessarily intuitive and I usually have to refer to the instructions (which I keep in the travel bag with the clock). I pop the batteries out if I'm not going to travel for a while. In my den it had become impractical trying to see a non-lit analog clock if the lights were turned down. I liked the travel clock well enough to buy a second one for the den. (I like my travel bag to be grab-and-go, so I don't take anything out, thus the second clock.) Because it sits on a bookshelf, there is no cord having to be plugged in. I do not regret either purchase.

Very compact and easy to use. I just wish the display was a little brighter.

I recently bought this for my grandmother who was struggling to find a clock after upgrading her cable box and no longer having a place to display the time. After lots of trial and error, this ended up being the perfect thing for her. It’s small in size, but has large numbers so it can be seen from further away. The battery powered aspect makes it portable and easy to relocate. Her favorite feature is that the blue light is softer on her eyes and also doesn’t cause a glare which was a big factor. Overall a great product for the price and purpose!

Recently my cable company upgraded my equipment. The new cable box was much smaller than the old one. Great for space, but the design eliminated the clock display. I didn’t realize until it was gone just how often I referred to that clock. I searched for a battery-operated replacement with a lighted display for day and night. This model fits the bill. The brightness can be adjusted, the clock operates silently, and it will remain lighted if the power goes out. And it didn’t break the bank. Winner!

It is very clear to see at night and you don't have to plug it in

This is the perfect size for small spaces. It’s bright and the red does not light up the room, just the clock readout. Too many of them light the entire room up. This does not if you purchase the red. Unfortunately, programming it is cumbersome. You have to mess with it quite a while to get it to do with the instructions tell you. And they are not particularly clear That being said, it’s a nice little clock that is compact. The buttons are small, in the back, and flush with the unit. This makes it kind of a challenge as well. There is a pinhole for reset, but it’s not clear why you can’t just use the buttons to reset. Strange strange. It needs four AA batteries when others of this size need two.
