Why did you pick this product vs others?:It worked as expected. Be aware that it comes with a blank metal lock insert. You either have to swap this for an original or you need to get it cut. Be aware, getting this type of key cut in the Pacific Northwest is much more expensive than the purchase of the fob. In the end I knocked the little pin out and swapped the blank with the original metal piece.

Ease of replacement:Easy-to-use

Purchased this from Amazon, had my local Chevy dealership cut the key for $25.00. Programming was easy, all you need to do is use your old key first in the ignition turning it to the point that the dash light come on but doesn’t start. Then turn the key off and remove it, after this using the new key replete this process. The key learns the code and will now start your car. This worked on 2014 Chevy Equinox, not sure about other models.

After you get this you have to find someone to cut the key before you can program it to your car. One place we tried said they would not cut the key if it was not purchased there. It would have cost $110 to purchase another one. We live in a rural area and we used the locksmith that was listed online with the company that sold this and he came from 45 min away and cut the key and programmed it in the drive way for $70 and it works great. Just know that there may be more expense than the cost of the key fob on Amazon.

Both of our Keyfobs blew out at the same time. This pack of two was economical and served our purpose.As an FYI it cost us 35 dollars apiece to have the keys ground out to match the old ones and the locksmith charged us 10 each to program the keys for us! But so far we are happy with our purchase.

Worked with no issues on my 2010 Chevy equinox. Spare key my wife keeps on here for her use of the vehicle . After 1 years still locks and unlocks car and starts it.
