Fixed my overheating compressor.
I have a Ge Profile ZISS420DRISS and the compressor has been getting warmer and warmer over the past few months to r point where it could burn you. In the past I replaced the inverter with WR49X10283 when the refrigerator wouldn't cool at all. But my fridge will cool be has a hard time getting back to the fridge temps. It finally does, but takes a long time. We called for a service and the repair guys thought it was the fan not working properly. He said he would need to pull the whole fridge out to replace the fan. Instead, he suggested I just plug a small fan to blow on the compressor. Strangely enough, this worked but I couldn't believe that this would be the solution. I google a bunch of forums and a few people said it was the Main Control Board. I didn't think it would fix it but thought it would be worth a try. It took about 15 minutes to switch out. The hardest part was pinching the attached pins. I took a picture of the wiring and reattached it back. Over the next few hours the compressor cooled down! So if this is your problem, I would suggest you give this part a go.

Fixed my GE Monogram fridge and saved me hundreds compared to a repairman!
This solved the problem of my compressor running way too hot! Everything in my fridge worked fine, but I noticed that it seemed to be running excessively and compressor was always VERY hot! I did some digging on repair forums, and after testing a few other parts such as the compressor and inverter, I determined it was probably a bad main board. It took me about 10 mins to swap out the part, and now my fridge runs like new again!!

The board works for my Fridge
Temperature control is working again. I replaced this along with the fridge's inverter (which is the likely true issue) - the fridge had stopped cooling...basically no power to the compressor.

Very angry
Don't know why but I always have problems with GE boards, put this one in and it stopped working and doing the same thing 2 weeks later, which is the defroster timer. My unit won't defrost on time or at all, tested everything from sensors to fans to drain, everything points to timer on main board. Been having to use a jumper wire to defrost it ever day for 30 minutes till I can talk someone at the company into replacing it because you can't return items on here past 30 days.
