GPOAudrey 1950 Style Traditional Push Button Telephone

There is something heavy (a weight, I assume) loose in the receiver that thunks around inside the receiver whenever the receiver is moved. Even though the phone actually works, I'm wondering if the phone is actually brand new or is it a manufacturer's reject? It's been my experience over the years that these replica phones are not well made; they develop electrical problems very soon after you purchase them. This GPO Princess replica happens to have an immediate non-electrical problem.

Wanted a traditional phone which worked during power cuts. Looks lovely in our old cottage. Lovely quality. Sound is a little crackly but we only use it occasionally.

Arrived on time well packaged. The plastic used for the construction of the phone is of good quality and the phone is a nice solid weight. It looks bright and cabinet and looks very classy and vintage. The one tiny criticism is that you have to place the receiver back down carefully otherwise it has a tendency to slip off the receiver button and your phone will then be shown as engaged if someone trys to phone you, get that right and its fine. Sound quality is good not tinny at all, and the receiver feels solid and comfortable. Great phone at a good price.

the receiver is not very stable keeps coming off.

doesn't take up much space,easy to use,altho' you have to make sure the handset is sitting properly or it registers engaged.

A great looking retro style phone with a solid, sturdy feel.Compact dimensions make it ideal for bedside tables etc.Other reviewers have criticised the ring tone, but it rings, you can hear it, what more do you want ?Looks great in black and compliments most decor schemes.Excellent product at a great price.
