good shoes. price could be better.
i've been using skechers for over a decade now for work & personal shoes. my main critique of ALL skechers is that the interior of the back heel starts to rip in a few months eventually exposing a hard plastic plate in the back of the shoe that will rip your socks & cause blisters on the back of your heel. but i LOVE the extra & extra-extra wide skechers & the max cushion. tho one thing i've learned w/some of the max cushion skechers is make sure the front of the toe has some hard rubber or etc reinforced exterior edges. some of the max cushion skechers are so soft on the exterior they are very flimsy & do not do well in a work environment where you need something more sturdy. these so far i am very pleased with. very comfortable, very spacious, good reinforced toe. so for now i'll give them 5 stars & will recommend. tho due to the lack of quality i've seen in skechers as far as durability, my opinion is they're over-priced. but i have yet to find a shoe w/a true extra or extra-extra wide fit nor any w/the max cushion type of sole. so, until i do, i'll keep buying skechers due to lack of a better option.

Perfect fit
The shoe has a comfortable fit. The soft tongue doesn’t irritate my lower shin when walking. The shoe doesn’t require a break-in period. The thick sole is perfect for flat feet since I do not experience pain as with other footwear.

Great work shoe for this store clerk.
After reading the other reviews, thought I'd try this model from Skechers for my new job which has me on my feet the whole time I'm there. I'd been trying and alternating from my other shoes that I already owned, all to no avail in getting some relief from my foot pain which was getting progressively worse with each week at the store. Of COURSE, the shoes with the very best reviews are ridiculously expensive. Then I saw this model by Skechers that I finally settled on after combining the reviews with the price for the best overall VALUE. So glad I went with these! They feel just a bit higher in the arch, but not obtrusive, and they provide the needed cushioning support that I was looking for to give me long-time comfort on the job. Now I don't even think about my foot pain on the job because there isn't any anymore.

Skechers Men Max Cushioning Arch Fit: great walking shoes, might not be good for running
at least if you're a hefty person like myself. I weight in around 260-270lbs typically. I only place emphasis on this because these shoes are advertised as specializing in providing extra support: When walking the cushioning is good BUUUUT borderline almost too much. Its very comfy sure but your ankles have to flex a particular way (google pronation) in order to absorb shock. If the cushioning is too much that can't happen in a proper manner and it'll cause suprisingly nasty joint pains all along your leg and back! When running I just flatten these things out and my ankles start flopping around everywhere which is a no-no. Hurts my lower back and ankles real bad believe it or not. So for hefty folks I wouldn't recommend these as runners but for people ~200lbs or less I bet they're fine. The soft foam lower is very soft but they wised up and put lots of harder rubber on the bottom to protect it so they should last a while. The upper is a nice knit material that has lots of give. I bought the 4E/XW shoes and they fit properly for my size. I also put stretchy laces on them so I can use them as slip ons and it works pretty good for walking. I've been using them around 2-3 weeks so far and there are no issues at work all day! I wouldn't bother with orthotic inserts with these shoes, they're just not built for them. You probably won't need them anyways though so long as you're feet don't have special needs. As walkers I love them but as runners, at least for higher weight folks, look elsewhere.

Very comfortable shoes
I bought these shoes. It's very comfortable. I have got knee pain (PFPS, meniscus irritation), so I can wear arch-fit and comfortable shoes. This is the best one I have ever worn. It is just 2 weeks I have bought it, that's why I cannot say anything about durability.

Like walking on a cloud, but with support.
This is the sneaker I’ve been looking for. My favorite Skechers Max Cushioning sneakers were discontinued, and I haven’t been able to find one as good; until now. Very comfortable, great cushioning, and support all the way around. AndI love the wide sole, without the sneaker being too wide. Don’t listen to the one star haters. This is a great sneaker.

Comfy...for a while
These are good looking shoes and they were very comfy when new. Unfortunately Skechers uses that softer white rubber compound on a lot of their shoes and with these they uses it right in the middle of the sole, front and back. The result is this area wears much quicker, causing the center of your foot to not be as supported as the sides which have the harder, longer wearing black rubber on the bottoms.. The exact thing you don't need if dealing with plantar fasciitis which is why I bought these in the first place. Lasted a few months so I can't complain too much but they are pretty much unwearable now.
