What is the diameter of the rubber pad?

3 inches. I placed 2" spacers between the ladder frame and bracket so that I could retract the leveler above the ladder base. I did this because I placed both on the same side instead of the same end and used the ladder outside on hills. That way the ladder stores properly instead of being slanted to one side.

load capacity 400lb or 500lb? It says both

TOUGHER Ladder Leveler has a maximum working load of 500LBs/220kg. So it can withstand 500lbs and below.

What is the width between holes in the base plates? What is the minimum width of ladder leg that these will be suitable for?

I use mine on a 300 lb rated aluminum extension ladder
