CLEP and REA are assuming that you already have knowledge on this topic. I didn't have any knowledge of this subject before deciding to take the CLEP exam. Some of the acronyms in the books are not spelled out and I believe that this is where previous knowledge is assumed by the author. That is why I would like to advise that if you have no knowledge in any of the CLEP exams and you are going to use the REA books please be prepared to do the additional leg work to pass, if not take a college course for 3 months which cost 3 - 5 times more. Review: Passed! (with a 56) - The book covers everything you need to know pretty much. It's a concise book (there's no B.S.), so if you are unsure of concepts just look it up online like I did. A lot of the stuff was foreign to me, but I'm glad the book outlined what exactly I needed to learn. The best part about the book hands down is the practice tests you can take on the REA website.
