Will this tubing work as the intake hose for the Eheim 2217?

The 5940 tubing (5/8ths equivelant) is the output tubing for the 2217, the Intake is the smaller 4940 (1/2in equivelant). Don't use a generic 1/2 or 5/8th tubing as it may or may not attach correctly using the Eheim system. The Eheim tubing is superior to any generic you will find also.

Is this factory equipment and is it CO2 resistant?

This is Eheim tubing. The same tubing you would get with purchasing an Eheim filter that uses this size tubing. I don’t know what you mean by CO2 resistant? It is good solid tubing.

Will it work with Eheim Pro 4+ 600 Filter?

Yes, I replaced the standard hoses and upgraded the standard attachments to my Eheim Pro 4+ Canister Filter using this tubing.

Is the inner tube size is 5/8 inches?

It measures 16/22 mm or close to 5/8 inches. Inside is 16mm, outside is 22mm.
