Calm Me Down - Calming Collars for Dog Anxiety - Medium, Red Bandana

It seemed to work very well the first time Bo wore it. He calmed down and actually laid down and took a nap even though it was still thundering. The second time he wore it, he relaxed enough to take off and jump in the pool before I could catch him. You can not allow the collar to get wet. It will not dry out completely and will mold no matter how long it hangs in the sun and lays on the counter to dry.UPDATE: After leaving my review earlier, I was contacted by the seller regarding my Pup's going swimming with his collar on. I knew the collar shouldn't get wet but sometimes, the Big Guy is faster than I am when he decides to go swimming! After exchanging emails and discussing the collar's effect on Bobo, I was pleasantly surprised to find a new collar in my mailbox this week. We have had 2 days of thunderstorms now and Bo has made it through both in a relaxed state on his rug snoozing. The Calming Collar is definitely worth trying. It had been recommended by several people whose dogs were not helped by the shirts that are available.So, If your dog experiences anxieties during storms or car trips or just life in general...I highly recommend trying this collar, especially from this seller. It even smells good to me!1 YEAR UPDATE - May 22, 2017: It has been almost a year since we bought this collar for Bo and it's still working as well today as it did when we first got it. I've kept it in a plastic storage container when not in use so the fragrance has not been reduced by time at all. Last night's storm dumped 2" rain in an hour and a half. Bo hardly noticed it. It is thundering again now and he's stretched out on his rug chillin'!I bought this collar with great trepidation. I did not believe it could work this well. Now, I can't imagine getting through the summer without it. He doesn't hyperventilate any more and just cruises through the storms. I can't recommend this product enough for your dog.

This arrived quickly and nicely packed with tissue. IDK, that just makes me feel better about spending money on the product, so thanks for that touch. But most important, this is working really well with my nervous dog. It seemed to bliss her out immediately. She habitually chews on her legs and feet, and since the vet has ruled out physical causes, he believes it to be psychological. I'm hoping this will ease her anxiety.About the sizing, my dog has a 17-inch neck, and the medium was a little small. I was able to adjust it to fit, but just to let you know, it goes pretty much the full length of the collar. Still fits just fine.For those who say it doesn't work, it may not work for YOUR dog, but it may for others. For instance, my dog's thunder shirt works well for her, but most other calming cures I've tried don't. I'm also putting her on a homemade diet. Fingers crossed.

I was hoping this collar would work for our dog. I visited my mother and she had one on her dog, and it worked for her dog. He was unrecognizable. He was very well behaved. However, it did nothing for two of my dogs. I'm very disappointed!

Update....this collar worked "differently" for my very anxious rescue chihuahua. It did not "calm" her or put her to sleep...however it did relieve some of her anxiety. She was able to play and eat! She has anxiety all the time so it was great to see her be her silly self!! Definitely works different on different dogs and we highly recommend you try it!!I do not have a review of the product yet, but the customer service is GREAT. My package was "lost" by USPS. Contacted them regarding the issue, got a response in less than 24hrs. Super nice and accommodating. Shipped another collar priority mail. Emailed me the new tracking info, again in less than 24hrs. Today got another email, that BOTH packages are to be delivered today. They instructed me to keep or donate the extra collar, no need to return it. Thank you for helping our 4-legged family members with love.

We have been using the collar for a week and a half and have noticed a small difference in our beagles behavior. We have tried many things, talked to vet, etc. Our dog is just very anxious and I think for training as a puppy this may have worked better but he is 6 and seems set in his ways. It smells very pleasant . It does mellow him out while we are with him so at the very least it has done that. I love the fabric choices and think it's a great concept. I know it worked for other people but I can't say it changed our dog significantly that I would purchase again. It was still worth the money to try though!

The collar is super comfy for her and looks so cute. I was looking for "miracles" for my Mazey as t-storms are so tough for her. The calming collar does take the edge off a little bit. I was looking for total calmness, but every pup is different. She is a tough girl and this does take her anxiety down from a 10 to an 8.

Calming Collar just arrived, so cute and well made; with a lovely relaxing lavender scent. Only problem, I made a sizing mistake and ordered the XS Pirate pattern; instead of the SMALL Black Paws Pattern. So much for my late night ordering. I wrote the manufacturer to request a return authorization and exchange for size and design change due to MY ordering error. Within minutes Calming Collars responded, and offered to send me the replacement calming collar in small, no questions asked; & no need for me to return the too small unused collar. Their suggestion, I donate my unused XS collar to a shelter as they do not re-use even unused products. Talk about customer support! Even more impressive is their apparent hygiene concern for our little furry friends!
