Here's my initial review, I may change it later
Below was my initial review. After running all night I'll change some comments. The humistat appears accurate. It has settled down and is reading very close to my other humistat. It ran all night in an 18x21 room filled with plants, but didn't raise the humidity above 32%. I had it on the second speed, so maybe that was the issue. It is very quiet, which I've said already. The dial inside, is on the lock position and it ran normally, with water filling the reservoir as called for. I still have no idea why the lock/unlock dial is there. One other interesting item. My initial review wasn't posted for some reason. Maybe because I rated it low? Maybe they haven't review it yet? I have my suspicions. I'll give this 4 stars only because I can't set a target humidity level.I received this a few minutes ago. First of all, I thought I could set the humidity levels. I can't. The auto function puts it at 65% period. The fan functions are low, med and high. You get whatever humidity they give you when not in auto.I read the instructions, filled it up with a half gallon of water and it leaked like a broken aquarium! Water everywhere. After cursing the manufacturer, I emptied it and discovered a round plug of packing material in the base that isnt mentioned anywhere. I removed it, refilled it and it seems to be working fine. There's a dial of sorts in the reservoir that says lock and open. I have no idea what it does. It's not mentioned in the instructions anywhere. By the way, the instructions are crap. Virtually useless. The unit is extremely quiet, I'll give it that. It's running now, with a half filled reservoir and the dial in the lock position. I have no idea if that is right or what. If the level in the reservoir doesn't decrease, then I'll try the unlock position. Who knows?Overall, I'm not impressed with first impressions. I'd have given this 5 stars if the instructions were better as it would have saved a lot of aggravation.Oh, the internal humistat says 55% humidity. My room humidistat says 29%. Just a wee bit of difference. My humistat is correct, so this doesn't give me a warm feeling of being able to control humidity levels. It may be returned shortly. I'll run it tonight and if things don't improve, back it goes.

Water reservoir can’t be removed for filling
You have to haul water to the unit. That and one other item makes it 4.5, not 5.0. The other item is the fact that there was no mention of removing the interior packing materials before use. A sketchy use booklet was adequate( with a few grammar mistakes) but no mention of a large ball of foam that needed to be removed before use.

Best humidifier
You couldn’t ask for an easier to clean humidifier!- The completely open top allows easy access to the whole tank. The base is fairly straightforward to clean too.Strong mist/good mist height, especially on level 3. Way better than others I’ve had or seen.Built in humidistat allows auto-mode function, where it targets 60-65% humidity.Perfect for the bedroom:- It’s pretty quiet. No big “glug glug” sounds like others I’ve had.- The night/sleep mode is as you’d expect. No display lights and no night lights when in sleep mode. When you tap the screen to make a change, it lights up for a few seconds then goes dark again without you having to do anything re-enter sleep mode.A few super minor downsides that don’t warrant a star deduction (although I thought about it for #3):1. The open top is a little weird, as water can overflow into the mist exhaust (which is the limiting factor by maybe an ounce when filing rather than the outer edges), but doesn’t cause any problems.2. No side window to determine fluid level. Easily overcome by taking the top off and peaking into the tank (which you can’t do with bottom-fill humidifiers). Also, it has auto-shutoff to avoid any damage.3. The tank is pretty tall, making it hard to place under most bathroom sink faucets. It would be nicer if this 4L tank was a little wider rather than being so tall. I had a wide 6L in the past that fit under the sink faucet. Not easy to fill unless I turn it as I pull it out, spilling tons of water. Alternatively, you can get a bottle or cup and pour water into it. You can’t do that as easily with bottom-fill humidifiers.4. Like with all humidifiers I’ve had, the cord seems just a little too short (rough guess it’s 3-4ft).5. Can’t select a humidity target (other than if you use auto-mode it will target 60-65% humidity). A slight missed opportunity given the built in humidistat.6. Can’t see the buttons in the dark (and they’re flush with the display, so you can’t feel them either). Ideally, there’d be a backlight that would be off by default, then when one was touched, have a subtle backlight come on behind all the buttons so you can see what you’re doing. Again, I know this is minor, but popped up as an annoyance in my first week of use.I had bought a few humidifiers and they’ve either broken after a few months or I’ve returned them for a variety of reasons. Overall, it’s the best humidifier I’ve owned. Very happy with it so far.

Instruction Manuel not very useful tackling down the issues I have had
If the manufacturer provided more informative instruction manual it would have been much more helpful to understand how to use the product appropriately. Also I filled it like it suggested and it leaked every like a cracked fish tank. It leaked from where the reservoir and the bases attached. So I only fill the base to prevent leaking, but it runs out of water then much more quickly and virtually makes it not a 4L tank but 0.5-1L. It says not to fill past fill line as well in Manuel but I cannot seem to locate this line on product. I am gonna do more searching about this product to try to figure the kinks out - otherwise- I’ll be returning. It is nice sleek design and quiet so I hope I figure out how to use this correctly.

worth every cent- go for it
The media could not be loaded. very happy with this unit, its awesome. I was skeptical at first but this makes the other two I have look ancient. It really puts out the humidity and either warm or cold it has no issues. I definitely will be purchasing more of this unit. I love giving bad reviews but I also love giving these types of great reviews.Take it from me you will not go wrong with this little unit.

It’s so quiet! Perfect for the bedroom
I was shocked by how quiet it was - I almost had to second guess myself and check to make sure it was still on after turning the lights off in the bedroom. The sleep mode works well too. This thing has been a lifesaver after being sick for a few days. Great humidifier.
