I've noticed that, while the paint will adhere to the rub n buff, it tends to be easier to chip off. Plus, rub n buff technically doesn't 'dry' in the same way as paint. **Q: does this work on plastics and what type?** A: Yes, it works. I used the rub-n-buff on the toilet shut off valve and hose to the toilet - that doesn't get touched much. I also plan to use it on a mirror frame. I also have a set of towel bars that I'm about to do, but I'm going to use the auto paint process.
