This hike is between 12-14,000 feet for the most part with steep day climbs (4,000 feet at 18% slope), so you can feel every single lb of weight that you carry on your back!This daypack fit my requirements perfectly - it has an internal pouch to carry your Hydration pack, two additional external side pockets to carry 20 oz water bottles, and enough internal space and pockets to carry an SLR camera, jackets, snacks, hydration tablets etc. It also has a nifty pocket in which you can hang your keys and a hidden pocket to stash documents etc. Finally, it was extremely comfortable throughout my 8-10 hour daily hike.
