Her Master and Commander (Pleasure Island)

As a huge fan of series books, I also love spin-off books from a series. The Pleasure Island series is a spinoff from the Dungeon Fantasy Club series and will have some of the people from DFC make an appearance. Jared McTavish has left his homeland of Scotland, along with his best friend, Declan McDougal and his new wife, Zoey. He needs a change, and that will include opening a new facility on a private island in the Bahama’s near Nassau. Naomi must find a safe place to hide, one where her ex-husband can’t find her again. With the help of her best friend, Melissa, she will send her to Nassau and then ferry to a private island to live and work at a new exclusive private BDSM resort.The plot will have two people trying to exorcise demons of their past and try to move forward in their life. Jared can’t continue in Scotland with Declan and Zoey now that they are married. It was one thing to top a sub with another Dom, but once they married, he can’t do that anymore, especially when he is in love with her too. Naomi needs a safe shelter to work and live away from her physically abusive ex-husband, Jon. She has had a life of neglect and abuse, and it is time for her to spread her wings and find safety and freedom. Life at a BDSM resort is an entirely new experience and one that has her blushing often. She has a nice room, good pay, and she enjoys her job. Having a boss that is sexy and makes her panties melt is unexpected, and something she tries to avoid him, but he won’t let her. “Of all the things she had expected to find on the island, love was not one of them.”Jared has lived a celibate life since leaving Scotland six months ago, but Naomi has awakened a need in him to top a sub again. Her Master and Commander by Anya Summers is the first book in a brand new series that is an offshoot of the Dungeon Fantasy Club series. When I saw Anya had a new book out, I got super excited, as I have all of the DFC books (Except the domme one, not a fan of domme books) When I saw that it was Jared’s (Her Highland Master DFC Book 1) ((Amazon))book, I did a little chair dance. I’ve always thought that Jared deserved his own story, his own HEA. I’m doubly glad that he’s stepped out of Declan’s shadow, despite the fact that they are best friends, I never thought Jared belonged as the butler. But in Her Master and Commander we start with Jared making the decision to leave Scotland for a private island near Nassau. He can’t play third to Declan and Zoey’s relationship anymore, being the occasional third. He loves Zoey too much and needs to distance himself.Six months later, and the island is a lifestyler’s paradise. There’s a hotel and bungalows, all outfitted for BDSM play. Even the pool are and outside paths have play spots. (Can I go?) Jared hires a new maid that he finds himself instantly attracted to, Naomi Cates. But her eyes are full of sadness and secrets, secrets he’s determined to find out.Naomi is on the run from her ex. She figures Pleasure Island will be safe and he won’t find her. But she finds herself attracted to her boss, and that’s a no no. Can she resist him? Jared finds himself an in with her when she messes up. But will he stick around, or is his love for Zoey still interfering? And can he save her in time when the worst happens?This book was a great start to a new series! I’m positively thrilled at the prospect of new books for the secondary characters, lots of Masters and submissives. I thought Naomi was a great match for Jared, despite what she’d gone through with her ex, she has lot’s of spunk and fire. Jared is positively swoonworthy, though not perfect. He did have some off moments, especially with how he treated Naomi the morning after his phone call with Declan and Declan’s good news. Definitely a book I’d re-read over and over again!

This was definitely worth the wait as he's paired up with an awesome lady... she deserves him. I've enjoyed reading her other series, & I'm looking forward to this new branch; therefore, I gladly recommend them to others based upon their own merits. This series is definitely going to provide me another wonderful Reading Rabbit hole with hours of spectacular reading!! Anya's books are books you'll read several times & not tire of. This story is very full of action, like hurricanes, abusive ex-husband, and hot Doms with naughty Subs. None of that is even the falling in Love and uhm letting an old love become a friend. Who would have thought a sweet vanilla maid could fall for the hot BDSM Master J. I really enjoyed this story but I soo wanted to see an epilogue with them travelling to his home, and maybe some future children... I plan to add Anya Summers to my favourite authors. This is a pretty good series... I kinda wish I had started at the beginning of the Fantasy series, but I will eventually get back to read those.

I was so pleased that Anya wrote another series following after The Dungeon Fantasy Club.That was brilliant,and now we can see what unfolds with Pleasure Island.This book is different but it tells us what happens after Master J leaves the Club.If you have not bought Dungeon Fantasy Club then you have missed a great series.Master & Commander is a great start to the next,I look every day to see if another book is released.

Great read and a good follow-on from the Dungeon Fantasy Club series. Recommended.

excellent anya summers all ways write s good books

I really loved reading this book and am looking forward to reading the next books in this series and i found the book to be filled wjth drama, pleasure, sensuality, passion, sexuality, lots of kink which i love a lot, danger, adventure, great storyline, intensity, homour, excitement, warmth, caring, seriousness, enjoyment and a awesome read as well.
