The build quality is excellent, and so is the accuracy.Edit: Have to come back again to say I'm very happy with this product after some time has passed. Very good quality.

Good for the money...
I'm leaving a 5-star review, but I do have to say that there are a few things that I don't love about these scales.They are slightly less "beefy" than I was expecting. I have used other aluminum scales before and these just have a feel of slightly poorer quality.Another thing I don't like is that they aren't 'reversible'. By that I mean that the numbers are only ascending from one end.And the third thing is that the ends of the actual aluminum are fairly sharp feeling. I know I only wrote negative things, but all in all I really do like these scales--I just felt like you should know the 'slightly negative' things about them.

Very nice set, worth the money
This is a great set, I like the felt bags that the two scales come in, that along with the slap ruler is exactly what I needed for an apprenticeship class I'm in, doing a lot of drafting, this is exactly what I need. It's nice having two different colors on the scales so I can easily identify which one I'm looking for. Very sturdy and well-made, feels like they'll last a long time

These are Great
I have owned various rulers for drafting for 50 years, and have done my own blueprints all along that time. These are very nice, fairly easy to read, seem sturdy and if the markers hold up, should last a very long time. Both triangular rulers came in velvet pouches and the flat ruler had a plastic sleeve. I would buy these again (but do not imagine needing more for a long time.)

Works Well, Don't Know if they are Better than the Plastic Ones.
These work very well. My only concern is they make a lot of noise when using them compared to the plastic rulers. And if you accidentally drop them, prepare to scare everyone in the room from the loud metal crashing noise. I think I might prefer the plastic ones a little more since they are quieter and grip the paper a little better.
