Lads, lads, lads
Our grandson aged 6yrs was gifted two Akedo mini warriors; These are a new brand of micro collectible action figures that battle each other with realistic movements, inspired by retro arcade games. Each figure has a variety of characteristics and accessories. This little toy is neatly boxed and offers the balance of collectability, the power of movement and it hopes to inspire young minds in creative play. Having watched the Akedo animation on tv, our grandson was inspired to visit the website ‘Akedo Warriors - Moose Toys’ to find out more about the powers and special characteristics each mini figure possess as well as checking the range of figures in the series in order to prioritise which is the next to be collected. *It would be more than helpful if the boxes indicated which figure was included so as not to duplicate purchasing one that is already owned.A great little toy to mix fantasy and imaginative play using a small figurine that has its own identity and special powers and could have easily come from a faraway planet.Our grandson loved the anticipation of opening the box to find out which of the collectibles was inside. He presented one of the mini warriors to his daddy as it was his dad’s birthday; he then challenged and won the battle against his dad. (The rules were made up as they went along. I guess this gift to daddy was on a temporary short term loan basis until one of our grandson’s playmates pops by when it will be taken back.) There was immediate interaction with the figure and lots of questions about names and powers which led to researching further on the Moose Toys website.A fabulous pocket toy which is well presented and a great way to get kids to interact in friendly and playful combat. The obvious potential for this toy to be collectable is clear, as an order has already been placed to purchase one for each of school friends as birthday surprises. We definitely recommend this toy as it’s got scope with the magnificent official Powerstorm Arena to use with tag team tournaments and its beginning to look like THE big thing this Christmas. It’s certainly at the top of the Wish List already FOR OUR GRANDSON and its only mid September!
