I loved the look of these plates in the photo. The downside is that the bottom of the plate is not printed with the wood pattern, and instead is a rather ugly shiny pinkish brown of the plastic. It makes them seem quite cheap, and I feel I overpaid for this set. A dark brown color would have been acceptable and less glaring.
