The 5 oz. cans I bought were cleaner more solid tuna than these 12 oz. cans.
Compared to other brands I have tried (many) Polar is the cleanest and most solid tuna. I was surprised that the 12 oz. cans cost less per oz. than the Polar 5 oz. cans. However when I opened a 12 oz. can the tuna was more broken, not as solid as the 5 oz. cans. I rate the 12 oz. cans 4 stars and the 5 oz. cans 5 stars. I wish Polar would start using the peal off lids.

Best tuna on the market
My local stores no longer carry this brand and I was fortunate ti find it here on Amazon. It's a better processed tuna than the other leading brands, more chunk meat and less mush/grind. The taste is great. Years ago, however, Polar packaged "20% more than other leading brands" (it actually said that on the package) and it was sold as 6 ounce cans. I'm sure economics took over and the Polar people chose to pack 5 oz like everyone else and not change their price. It's still a better tuna than the others. Purchasing the 48 can case is definitely the way to buy this as far as the cost per can. Again, best tuna on the market!

CONTAINS LEAD OR MERCURY. Do not buy.
I was disappointed to see that this was a product of Thailand not USA. That's not my main issue with this product though. It's the "WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of theto cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm" that is on the label. If you look at the picture on Amazon they conveniently show a picture of the label without that warning. Will not buy again. Would not recommend anyone buy it. I don't need lead or mercury in my tuna. Should have not hid that in the description.

best tuna in water!
I'm always skeptical when I se a rave review of something, especially something like tuna fish. I'm now a believer, though! Tuna fish in water is my go to protein when I'm being careful and sensible about my diet. I've tried them all and this one is by far the best! Is it possible, though, for a 5 ounce can of tune has only 60 calories as the label indicates. Every other brand has twice as many.

There's NO canned tuna like Polar Tuna!
I was throwing away more canned tuna than we were eating with brands like Star-Kist, Chicken of the Sea, and others sitting on grocery store shelves. Then, we stumbled upon Polar Tuna...it was like buying fresh caught tuna...no more leftover tuna and no more throwing away tuna. Even the fish hater in the family loves Polar tuna!

Buy it now
Way better than anything you will find in the grocery store. High quality, fresh, good color, LARGE chunks, nothing suspicious and dark... Contains more meat than other brands, less water. Highly recommended.

Not right quantity- beware
Description is wrong. Clearly states "twelve 12 oz cans (total of 144 ounces). I received ONE 12 ounce can for $6.45.Tuna is good. Fix the listing.
