Q: Can the entire thing be washed in a washing machine? Fabric has odors and chemical finishes that should be washed out.

No this thing is not for the long run!! It’s cheaply made. Pillow ripped at seams and it falls out of shape if you wash it!!! My poor cat loved it though. Try to make this bed more durable!!
