If that's your concern, don't be.I'm very satisfied with this replacement of another bathroom scale that finally bit the dust after several years of daily use. The bottom strongly grips the bathroom scale when you stand on it but remains easy to slide out of the closet with a light touch without the rubber grips "sticking" to the floor. The bumps on top are comfortable on your feet. But what really stood out from the very first use was how BIG, BRIGHT and EASY-TO-READ the display is.The generous width of both the scale and the LED readout means someone with large feet like me can still easily see their weight. Like our last electronic scale, you have to step on then back off to get it to zero, then step back on for your reading. But the moment it's ready to provide your final weight (usually in about 1-2 seconds) it flashes your weight then keeps it on display for 10 seconds so you have time to read it even after stepping off the scale. From pulling the scale out of the bathroom closet to zeroing to reading my weight takes all of 10 seconds total.Overall, very easy to use and couldn't recommend it higher, especially for such a great, low price! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic! *by R***L on July 18, 2017* The few bad reviews on here worried me but the deal seemed too good to pass up. First off the aesthetic is pleasing and the screen is easy to read. It also comes with batteries so that is nice and super convenient. Of course it's super affordable as well and a good quality product.I feel like the people complaining about the scale not being accurate did not use it correctly. You have to have it sitting on a flat service or it will not give you an accurate reading. I tried it once with it a little bit of it off the floor and on the bath mat. It gave me a relatively low reading compared to what I'm used to. After I set it down it gave me the exact reading I get at the doctor's office so I don't doubt it's accurate. I have 2 other family members get on it too and see if it gave them accurate readings. It did. I was afraid the blue would not look good in my bathroom but it is dark... a deep midnight blue and is very attractive. I also love the width of this scale.... no tottering around. You don't need to step on and then off and then back on again once you have it in place. It is comfortable on my feet, very sturdy and accurate.
