Design Toscano Country Tuscan Hardwood Wall Curio Cabinet: Ebony Black Finish

I ordered two of these cabinets at the same time. One of them would have received five stars. The other one brought the rating down. The boxes arrived upside down (delivery driver's fault for not paying attention to the big UP arrows and the VERY FRAGILE warning) and were dumped heavily on the floor of my apartment entrance hall. (Box said "two-person carry" but of course the delivery companies don't work that way.) Both boxes had big holes punched in the sides, of which I didn't think to take pictures. Once I got the contents out, one cabinet was fine, not even any glass cracked. Looks very nice and goes well with other display cabinets I have around for my doll collection. The other cabinet had a long strip of the top broken off across the front. It's a clean break and my building handyman says he can glue it back on. Besides, it will be sitting on top of a bookcase and the top will be above eye level. It wasn't worth the hassle of reboxing and taking it to the post office, being much too heavy for me to lift, so I'll schedule a visit by the handyman to repair it. The damage could have been worse, and otherwise I like these small cabinets. I don't advise hanging them on a wall, though -- not at their weight and given how fragile the deceptively sturdy-looking wood parts are. Order just one and you have a 50/50 chance of receiving a really nice cabinet, depending on how the box is treated in shipping. Good luck!

Item is not an heirloom quality piece but generally speaking looks good. I'm using mine to display some crystal and the mirrored back is perfect for this. The alignment of my doors was ok. The wood is very light and the lip on the bottom cracked across the entire width of the cabinet during shipping. I repaired it with white weldbond glue. Overall I'm happy with the cabinet but I got it at a reduced price and read reviews so knew what to expect.

Bought this cabinet to display a collection of Swarovski ornaments. They look lovely. This cabinet is poorly made and very rough! The roughness is hidden by doors , the only reason we kept it. The first one we bought was crooked and even rougher finishing. We spent the money on this cabinet as we expected great quality. It is not.The glass shelves had to be forced in. We actually contacted the manufacturer and they do not stand by the products they sell. This cabinet is made in China and obviously mass shipped. Don’t be fooled by the price thinking you will get something you will not be. I liked the design, the only reason we kept it. Very poor finishing and quality.

What you would expect from top quality Chinese made products. Wonderful finish on superb hard woods. The entire package received complete and intact. This could sell for 5 times the price and I would still want to buy. A tour de force in cabinet making that can only come from the Chinese gods of cabinet making.

It was packaged very securely and besides a very slightly misaligned right door there were no imperfections. However the wall anchors that come with it are brittle and smooth and when used with the screws provided they will spin in the wall. I had to use a larger anchor to accommodate the large holes that they left. For the price I'm quite pleased with this cabinet and would buy again.
