Mafia lite, sweet and steamy romance A++
OMG so much is happening within the five families! I am so in love with this series. Sofia and Enzo’s story is a brother's best friend/friends to lovers romance. Sofia might be small but she is the strongest of the group, her mental fortitude was amazing. It’s honestly so awesome to read that the females are just as tough as the men in this series. Enzo is hella sexy and sweet, perfect combination for a growly Alpha. Sofia and Enzo are perfect for each other. Soulmates. These two make you fan your face, and Enzo is super swoony for an Alpha Mafia boss. The Gist: Sof and Enzo belong to two different families with in the Chicago Mafia. As kids they had a bond that only grew with time. Unfortunately they were not allowed to be together (for so many reasons). Sofia’s life is in danger from the Russian Mafia because she has information they want. With Sofia’s life at stake, Enzo decides being with her and protecting her is his job and he will stop at nothing to keep her safe and make his wife.“Sofia was my life. The connection we’d had since we were kids was stronger than ever. I couldn’t lose her. If she were gone, I would be lost. There would be nothing left.”

Blood Oath indeed
For me this book was even better than the first book. I really connected with Enzo and Sofia. This book had suspense, intrigue, a lot of action, and also gives a little history into the relationship going back to when they were six and eight years old. I enjoyed how the sub characters that were in book one were also in book 2 and that as each book goes you can see the intense camaraderie that flourishes. This author does a great job at storytelling hitting all of the right notes and bringing you completely into the fold. This is my first mafia series and it has not let me down I can’t wait to see all of the secrets come out one by one because throughout the series so far there definitely are several that leave you with your mouth hanging open and on the edge of your seat I love how this authors mind works. Now onto book 3.

Great book
My only two issues were : one , she knew the danger from Ivan but went to Italy regardless. Two- no one checked the bathroom to make sure it was safe!! Ok, one more thing, two many people to try and keep track of. But the romance was beautiful and draws you in. ❤️

best friends
Enzo and Sofia have been best friend but as they grow their connection gets stronger. What neither expects is for one to be promised to someone else. Sometimes love a person has to fight for to keep.

A good read
Blood Oath was a good read. This is the second book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley. I enjoyed this book but it felt a little off to me. It took me a while to get into this one, and it felt like there was a lot of book story missing. Like there was another series before this one, and not just one book. The characters were great, and I was engaged and had some laughs and thrills. I just wasn't as into this book as I wanted to be and I hate that. Maybe it was an off day of reading for me but this one just hasn't been my favorite and I love McKinley's books so much, so I was disappointed that I didn't enjoy this one as much. Hopefully the next one will be better for me!

Wow! Love this series.
Enzo is grumpy and turns cold sometimes around Sofia. She thinks he hates her and wishes for the friendship they once had.She has a few secrets where Enzo is concerned, one of which is that she's in love with him and the others, well you'll have to read to find out.Enzo isn't grumpy really. He just loves Sofia and he can't see her go through what his sister went through or worse have her end up dead like Elena. He thinks she's safer away from him, only can he leave her side? Can he truly walk away from the blood oath her and him share?Absolutely loved this couple.

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, book 2) by Amy McKinley - Review by Tori W
Are you kidding me??? This book was a whirlwind of emotions. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and I have so many questions I am so happy I already have the next book in the series because I absolutely need to know what happens to this group of people next. I NEED MORE ASAP. I was so engulfed with this book that at one point my boyfriend was like “hey can you stop reading and pay attention to me” I literally couldn’t put this book down it was THAT good. I am so deep into this world that I couldn’t get out even if I wanted to. I feel fear and worry and intense love it makes my own heart swell just reading about the love that these two share. I am excited but also terrified by these characters all while falling in love with each of them.I do recommend reading the first book in the series as there is a lot to unfold within this Mafia world and the backstory of each character is so intense and deep you just gotta read the books to fully get it all. I have a feeling each book will just get better and better cause I thought I loved the first one but this one I devoured faster than my Christmas cookies after I officially end a diet. There was no stopping myself once I got into it. I may or may not be in love with Enzo myself. The way Mckinley writes these characters there is just no way to not fall in love with them. The men are passionate and strong and overprotective and there is just something so compelling about a man who loves you so hard and will die fighting for you and rescue you in any situation that is just irresistible. And don’t even get me started on these firecrackers of woman in this world. The ladies are strong yet gentle and beautiful. They band together in times of need, fight hard and love harder. I am in awe of these ladies. This series is a must read in my opinion.

Page turner
The second book of this new Mafia series was none stop danger, action and suspense. I was hanging on the edge of my seat, from start to finish. Not believing my eyes as everything unfolds. We did get small hints of things in previous book. So would recommend reading book one first.Sofia and Enzo have loved each other since they were kids. Only things aren’t straightforward in the Mafia, you don’t always get to marry who you choose. But nothing will stop Enzo doing everything in his power to keep Sofia safe.

Ok so I liked the first book, but this one jarred me somewhat. It isn't a forbidden love story
Firstly H doesn't want to get with h because he doesn't want to put her at risk. Even though she's already at risk (not due to him) and he's following her around like a blood hound on a trail.Secondly all the mafia men seem to do is follow, shadow their women.. how the heck are they making these so called billions or even going to the toilet when they're literally just going to each other's houses telling each other to watch their sisters and wives.Thirdly, when guards are killed there's not even an acknowledgement of loss or grief. Are the guards too low down the ranking order to grieve for? Particularly when they died because h detoured to get a cup of coffee?!Also, the small army they mobilise and send so Ms mafia princess can do a fashion show is ridiculous. It better make millions because all the private jets, decoy cars and men sent with her must cost a small fortune! And if H says one more time ..."Even if that means protecting her from me" I'm gonna puke and hurl this kindle across the room.Sorry.. like I said, it grated on my nerves and I'm only 30% in! Hope the next one is better.Still reading (60% in) and the extent Ivan is going to, just to taunt them is weird. Again, all I can think is they all have too much time on their hands. It's weird how after a gun shooting car chase the next conversation is h questionable fashion sense when she was younger. I get it, she loves clothes but talking about that immediately after being shot at is weird. Taking a trip down memory lane talking about clothes and childhood nicknames wouldn't be the first thing to come to my mind?!! This whole story hangs together like a 1970s hair piece.. precariously!Finished the story and whilst I didn't puke, I did get the sticky burp, reflux from the cheese layed out in this storyline.
