Vet recommended
When your Vetenerian recommends this product and it works, then I'll highly recommend it. I strongly suggest that you begin using it after you have your pups tests cleaned, as it is meant as a preventitive care item, so it will not clean up plaque build up on teeth, but prevent plaque from building up after they have been cleaned. I specifically say this as this product is an investment and most will be disappointed if they expect their pups teeth to whiten up after they have plaque build up. However, it is definitely worth the investment after your pup has had his/her teeth cleaned. As a side note: I have an 8 year old, 100 lb full bred Labrador (no, he's not overweight, just a big guy๐) and in the beginning the Oravet's gave him gas. It was awful. I asked my vet and he said it was normal as my pup adjusted. It took about 1 1/2 weeks, but he did adjust and the has subsided and his teeth look great, he has fresh breath and feels great. I highly recommend this product following your pups dental cleanings. It's an investment that will save his teeth in the long run!

It really works!
My 95 pound German Shepherd Dog was having issues with tarter and plaque and had terrible breath. He is only 3 years old. I was willing to try this because he does not like his teeth brushed and we actually had gastric upset from the doggie toothpaste. I was concerned about digestibility, however there have been no issues with digesting this product. I feed at night and make sure he "goes" in the AM before we leave for work so I can monitor and digestive issues. Well his tarter is actually starting to dissolve, his teeth are whiter and his breath smells good. And he just Loves them. I take out the box and he gets very excited and can't wait for me to unwrap it. He chews it up nicely and it is a great reward for being a good boy and eating his dinner. I would not feed on an empty tummy just to be sure there is other stuff in the tummy for digestive purposes. We just had our annual check up and the Vet approved the use of this product. It is pricey, but better than having to take him to the vet for a cleaning.

These work. And, no worries about splintering/obstruction
I've gone through the heartbreak of losing a dog to a harder dental chew that splintered and punctured the intestine. These aren't hard and brittle. These are the first and still only dental chew that my vet recommends and stocks. My vet is very careful about what he recommends and stocks. I think he loves the critters as much as their people do. These chews work beautifully and I know that if my vet says they're safe, they're safe. I know from using them that they are remarkably effective. My dog's teeth are much cleaner after a month of these and her breath is no longer offensive. And, she likes them. They are more expensive than others, but I'll pay more for the safety and efficacy.

Expensive but I suspect this will save money---anticipating a healthier pet beyond dental benefits
Golden's breath better after about a week and teeth notably improved with less tartar.. Now his breath is basically free of any unpleasant odor----better than almost all humans. I would say this is a breakthrough product and an unqualified success, especially given the mounting evidence that a growing number of diseases/illnesses seem to be related to lack of oral hygiene. Will be interesting to get the Veterinarians' and breeders' responses, but from the results so far, my guess is there will be widespread endorsement in the years to come----although perhaps we can anticipate bias against this among those pushing their own stuff.

Great for dogs Dental needs
My dogs loved them. They were good way to give them a treat and clean their teeth at the same time. Made their breath a little bit fresher.

A must for all dogs
Our vet first recommended Oravet years ago and we have had our dogs (three) over the years on them every day. Very good results with great dental yearly exams.

Worth the cost
We have a 13 year old Golden Retriever. The veterinarian recommended this versus teeth cleaning which would involve anesthesia which would be tough on a senior dog. We have been using these for ove 2 years and seems to be working.
